Can you tell me what these cars have in common:
Sit'n'on_Chrome ![]() ZX3 Canuck ![]() Tribal Focus ![]() '68 Touring Car ![]() Tobyboom ![]() MichaelXi ![]() Railman Back'N'Focus ![]() blackcat521 ![]() They are all belong to Focus owners and Focaljet members. I think that is something that a lof of us have forgotten. We are all Focus owners that have come to this board to share our enjoyment with these vehicles. The one thing that makes all of us different is the way we express ourselves with our cars. Focaljet is NOT just for Focus owners who drag race or road race their cars. Focaljet is for ALL Focus owners no matter how they wish to express themselves through their vehicle. Be it through drag racing (Tobyboom), dedicated track racing ('68 Touring Car), show cars (Tribal), euro Focus inspired (ZX3 Canuck), low-rider (sit’n’on chrome), autocross (MichaelXi), wagons (Railman), 05's (Back'N'Focus) or even bone stock sedans (blackcat521), we are all here for one reason: We love the cars we drive and want to share that with other enthusiasts. We have 13,000 registered members of Focaljet. Because we have so many members and everyone has a different idea of what should be done with the Focus, you are going to have people disagree with the different approaches to Focus customization. That is fine. Autocrossers might not like the low-rider style, while drag racers might not like the show car style and so forth. If every car was liked by everyone then customizing our cars would be boring. The one thing we must remember though is that we should all at least respect what other members have done with their vehicles……..even if you don’t agree with their approach. You might not like a vehicle, you might even completely despise it for what the member did, but that does NOT mean that his car or his approach is any less important than what you are doing to your car. If you don’t like someone’s car, either use constructive criticism and explain why you are not a fan of it and what you would like to see different, or simply keep your opinion to yourself. There has been too much bashing going on lately simply because of the clashing of the styles. Lets try to embrace all Focus owners and Focaljet members in an attempt to expand the Focus community instead of segregating it. The Focus and Focaljet community was tight knit when the Focus came out. Everyone was happy to see an owner do anything different to their vehicle because it was something new and different. Lately we have lost that initial feel of community. We have lost focus. Lets try to get back to why we are all here to begin with: Our enjoyment in owning and customizing our cars, the Ford Focus. Thanks everyone, Ataru |

Garbage in equals garbage out! If someone posts that their Focus is the best thing since sliced bread and the only thing they have to back that up is some grainy pictures of a Focus with plastic spinner hubcaps and an APC wang then of course some people are going to talk smack about them.
Styling is subjective and people will have different ideas of what is nice. If you don't want feedback why would you post pics in a public forum? Maybe you should just turn off the ability to post replies in Team Rigz? |

People need to remember the age old rule - "If you have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all." If someone makes a post like the one you are describing, then maybe a better message would be sent if it received no replies then if it went downhill with rude and thoughtless comments. I know how it is - people think they can hide behind their screennames and get away with any comment they choose. That's just not right, and that's not the kind of atmosphere we are promoting here, nor will we continue to tolerate it. >8^) ER |

Just because you have the right to say what you want does not mean that you should say what you want.... Respect other people and they will respect you back. Treat them like crap and expect to get flushed down the toilet yourself..... |

Ive disliked a few cars and Ive expressed my opinion but never in a rude, degrating way...
I totally agree with your posts and look forward to seeing this community grow in that direction... people need to learn that they can still voice their opinion without blatantly bashing someone... "I don't like your tail-lights" is different from "those lights are rice" |

Does this apply to midwings?
*(a few members will get that joke)Well said Ataru, i noticed that the... asbestos suits were needed more frequently while venturing into rigz. Now here is the question: Does this apply to all cars posted, such as the infamous "CHECK OUT THIS EBAY RIDE" which is all hideous where we bash it?

I agree with the spirit of the post.
I do not agree that people need to keep opinions to themselves if they are not positive ones. With the catch that if you have something negative to say, do it without attacking the person. I respect that people put work into their cars, but not all of it's my taste, and if they throw it up on the Internet wanting feedback, I am going to give it, and it might be "Those lights are ugly". I'm going to have to assume the person knows that it's my opinion, and from the looks of Team Rigs, they already do. Granted you don't really have to worry about me because I don't really do that. Just showing the flip side of the coin here for people that still like to express how they feel since this is a place for opinions. |
