Yeah, but the bouncing camera is so classy. Can your camera mount to do that? Didn't think so.

took the day off, decided to paint the cladding white. will paint the wheels this weekend.

i had to go to 5 different places to just get 4 cans of the right color. what a pain in the butt.

bix, the spats wont fit on my car. front brakes are a tad bit bigger now. can barely squeeze those pony wheels on.

it's not the bumper, it's the bracket. i'm not going to bother as it lets the tire sit in there better anyway

wheels got some paint too.

clean with dish detergent, wetsand with 400 grit, preclean with paint precleaner, tape, clean again, self etch prime, then a few coats of white.

edit:

you know, she's come quite a way.

Ray does.

It looks completely different now Ray, an unbelievable transformation. Of course that's many years and hundreds of hours of hard work in there too.

Only bad thing with the white cladding is now you are going to get cone marks on your white paint. NOt as easy to remove as it is on the bare cladding.

You do need to paint those 4 front flare bots white as well.........or put 4 bolts in the rear flares to match. When the flares were black, you could barely see them, but they stand out now. And without them in the rear as well, it seems a bit odd.

I guess I'm a tad anal about things like that. lol

Honkey, it's okay. I understand COMPLETELY your sentiment.

Ataru - that is only if i hit cones I am pretty sure the goal is not to, right? Besides a few cone scuffs wont bother me one bit.
My friend also emailed me saying the same thing about the fender flare bolts. Odd. I guess since two completely different people have pointed it out, i should get done. I noticed it as well but didn't think that big of a deal...

If you don't hit some cones from time to time, you're not getting close enough to them. How do you know what's close enough until you find out what's TOO close.

Well, if you thought enought to paint the molding black (when it looked great like it was) why not address the bolts too?

I like telling newbies that the goal is to hit ALL the cones. And i will take care of the pesky black bolts when i get a chance. Trust me, i nail a few now and again. And i dont just tap em. I PUNT THEM
