I'll have to review the video when i get home from work. But the car makes a bunch of funky sounds. the clunk could be since the rear unloads like that - the spring reseating on the perch.

This is such a cool project. The car looks so uniquely good after all these years. Somebody should give you a grant.

There was a fox body mustang with the inside wheel off the ground and spinning backwards at our last autox. I agree...that can't be great for times.

Okay, i did take a look at the video again - great, now i'm lifting inner rear. Past two seasons i was lifting the inner front - i redid the rear suspension to help battle that (As well as some snap oversteer problems). Looks like IT FIXED IT.
Next event i'm going to lower the rear 1.5" or so - see if that helps. Definitely explains the lack of corner exit acceleration ability. Even with an LSD, having only one wheel on the ground kinda hurts.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6lMh4ydYyA matt did do better than me - but i have to say, only by 0.012 seconds, and i did shave another 0.150 off on the fun run. my first three runs sucked, i simply wasn't on my game, couldn't tie it together. as for my codriver, who seems to be excelling at an amazing rate - decided to turn the fun run with him into a "FUN RUN" as balls out resulted in a couple spins. yes, twice. on the same run. heh. no, no video, but i kinda wish we got that. and yeah no more lifting inner rear. kinda looks like we're "Almost" back to lifting inner front.

Simple sollution Ray, just put in a bigger stereo system. The added weight will keep that rear planted!

well, by definition, a "bigger" stereo system would be "a" stereo system... i went so far as to even remove the speaker wires from the car...
edit: some few pics. of my codriver. ![]() ![]() ![]() and the "team" (we're on the right. ) ![]()

Kudos to you guys making do with the lot that you have. I would have hated that course. I bet I would have needed to downshift into 1st at least twice.

That lot looks excellent
I don't even think it is possible to design a 1 minute course where I'm at ![]() Check out the dirt and local agriculture http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5...DSC_0038-1.jpg It's better than nothing, which is what we had at the beginning of the season. We're lucky to have this ![]()

looks like our old lot, but with better pavement if you can believe that.
this one has decent pavement, but is smallish. the hartford one is about the same size, but with a little better pavement than the bristol ones. take what ya can, we say, right? i wish UCONN would let us use their W lot - it's big, good pavement, but no.

I doubt it. Our lot doesn't have ANY pavement, so you'd be hard pressed to have worse pavement Our lot is full of 10'x10' concrete at different heights with aircraft tiedowns and raised sewer drains strewn about. Also, can't forget about the 2 handfuls of nails we swept off at the first event and hundreds of golf-ball sized rocks I kick off the course every month. If a city street sweeper hit our lot, I would be in heaven. How much does it cost to rent one of those for a couple hours ![]()

AH the good ole turbo 2.3 lima block I dreamed of putting in my ranger when I was younger. Sigh I couldn't ever find one. Now I would much rather have the XR4Ti.

I have to ask what kind of computer you're running? I worried my old 84SVO VAM might be giving out.
