Default November FOTM: Tribute to a Fallen Friend - nazthug

In his memory, one of Focaljet's original members and one of the great personalities on Focaljet, Nazar Kitch, nazthug, will be honored with November's Focus of the Month.

Here's to one of the early staples of Focaljet and the Focus community. Rest in Peace Naz. You will be missed, but never forgotten.

Here are some pictures of his car throughout the years with descriptions in his own words. If you have any pictures of his car from different stages, please feel free to post them.

i seriously sat in front of my computer for like 15 minutes just thinking about back in the dayz...wow

damn how i wish i had a FULLY stock before picture..oh well, it had the hellas and ground controls along with some other junk, but its the closest to stock i had, i think i started modin it like the 2nd day i got the car, i couldnt stand stock. I was so excited when i bought like a $30 filter or $20 clear corners. Now its like, $500 there, $800 there, $1100 there...and still not happy...damn, ive spoiled myself i guess

THE ONLY REASON that cars that DONT have the above mentioned and make it into magazines is if the magazine is doing a feature on a clean, simple, ride that does what its supposed to OR if you got a hookup...its THAT SIMPLE

Plus, this is a street car driven 400 miles a WEEK, so it has many imperfections, and to tell you honestly, i dont mind 1 bit that i dont have any magazine coverage, i think its just not for my style of car...i rather go to the track and rip up all the MAGAZINE cars

you have no idea how many times this car has made me want to quit for good, but the positives keep me coming back.

Right now the car is on vacation, taking a break, just getting me around. Im hoping to have the new shortblock and head in before school starts hopefully, built and ready for more power

The secret? Im not going with huge turbo sizes and big intercoolers, thats not my plan because this is my daily driver and i like for it to spool on the same day, lol

BUT, it will have a healthy shot of n2o on it.

The plan is to get to 300whp with this T3, because i really dont want a bigger turbo with more lag, but for those times i need more power, its gonna get a "75" shot, which on a turbo car like this should be close to 100whp extra boost, plus the turbo is gonna love it

Getting juice and at the same time cooling the charge. That way i dont need to redo everything. Because 300whp on the street is plenty, i dont want to have a turbo that does 500whp but is unstreetable.

anyways, thats the plan.

Me and drabert should have the new sintered disk in within a week ready to handle it all.

The ultimate goal is about 450whp with spray on racegas for those awesome freeway runs

His SVT brakes are on my car. Bought them from him when he parted out his blue car in '04. Glad to have a piece of Focus-history with me.

RIP Naz. I only talked to you on the phone, but you were definitely an awesome guy. You will be missed.

pullin a naz, i get chills at reading stuff he wrote , cause as i read it i hear his voice,
At his funeral a few pages he had wrote a couple years back were read that floored me. He talked about how fortunate he is to be soo lucky to have awesome family and freinds push him to succeed. and how other people take it for granted how hard life eleswhere could be. If you guys didnt know his family is from Ukraine and fought long and hard to get to where they ended up.
as it was read i didnt hear the speakers voice but i heard his ..

I never knew the guy other than looking at pictures of his car back before I ever joined on here and drooling because it's Focus perfection to me, but I got chills reading through Ataru's collaboration of his progression

I was at that San Jose G2G that first pic was taken at. I was 12 or 13.

In fact, our silver Y2K ZX3 is directly behind him.

I missed the decision making thread that led to this but def is awesome to see FocalJet respond like this. I very barely remember Nazar in fact only can recall a few of his post, he'll be missed by a very many as is obvious from the threads about him.
