Default 2002 Sonic Blue SVT Before and After Pics (56K Not Recomended)

Well, I have had my SVT now since the end of May... and I have done a few little touches to make it my own. More to come, but paying off school debt, and other things, while saving for a house... I really don't think I am doing too bad!

Before:

After: (I washed, Clay Barred, and Waxed her last night in prep for winter)

I love my car ... I am not afraid to say it! I had a ZX3 before, but the SVT is a totally different car. Feel free to comment!

The tail lights on my car now I bought as a quick replacement for my OEM ones which melted due to me putting tint on them. I won a pair of OEM tails off eBay... sent PayPal payment and haven't recieved them, and the seller won't return my e-mails. I have a PayPal dispute going now. Hopefully some good will come of it!

I am also debating putting my smoked corners back on... let me know what you guys think!

One suggestion maybe look into a 03/04 rear hatch strip, I hated the plastic one on my 02. I found a color matched one from a 03 focus svt made my rear end change quite a bit (You wouldnt think it with a black car) Probley even make more of a diff on your car. My vote for clear or smoked corners!!

Trust me... there are some chips in the paint! I don't tailgate, and I back away from dirt trucks, and try not to drive in gravel. I like to think I take really good care of the paint, but there are some flaws that just irk me. The car has 37k on it, so it is fairly low mileage.

Boosted: The rear hatch strip is something I have been wanting for a while. I know it would really complete the "Euro" look on my car. I have already confused people about it being an EAP... until they see the blue seats!

Well, I will be driving the car up to Michigan in January for Christmas... Towards the end of October or early November, I like to do a good wash/detail, clay bar, and a few coats of wax to help protect the paint from all the salt that the trucks like to dump on the roads. Here in Arkansas, winter doesn't seem to last as long, but they get a little over zealous with the salt application! That is what I do in preparation for winter.

There is a lot of construction going on in Bentonville... Thanks in large part to a little known retail giant known as Wal-Mart... so keeping dust and dirt off any car that sits outside all the time is a chore... but worth it.

I appreciate all the comments... but my SVT isn't an EAP... It is an EAP wannabe! I love the EAP look, and that is what I am going for... subtle yet sporty!

I almost was saddened by your pictures, then I read that the tails are just a temporary fix and it cheered me up again I love your car dude, the only thing I'd really suggest is Derek's thought of a colormatched hatch strip and maybe some Lamin-x on the fogs or a Mach 1 lip. And please, keep the OEM sidemarkers, they look much cleaner on there

Just take off the rear strip and have it painted by a shop. That's what I did with mine. It looks way better and it doesn't cost much. Nice clean look by the way.

Looking good! I'm amazed like the others by how clean your front fascia is. Mine is bombarded with chips from rocks.

Wow! Thanks for all the comments!

I thought I wanted the blacked out look until I melted my original tail lenses... For about a month I had blacked out tails, blacked out corners (the OEM ones) and when I had my SVT grill the ambers were blacked out as well. Once my tails melted, I got cheap JDM tails (BTW I got my stockers on tonight in the dark! ) I eventually just pulled the tint off everything, and decided that was enough damage, and left the ambers on. I am still going back and forth on if I want them back on or not... so I am going to change em out tomorrow and go for a week with them on.

I appreciate all of your comments. I really try to take care of my car. I know it is "just a Focus" but it is my 911 Porsche for now until I can afford one!

I don't anymore!! They were letting water into my hatch when it would rain. They didn't look too bad on the car, but now that I have the HIDs and not the regular SVT black headlights, they don't follow the theme anymore!
