Here's my story:

First off I would like to thank all those who make Focaljet possible. I love this forum and visit it many time throughout the day. I never really knew that much about forums until I found Focaljet, now I'm a member of so many i can't keep track of them all.

Next I would like to thank all those who voted for me for ride of the month. It is a great honor to be the first. Nothing is more rewarding than being chosen by your peers who all have the same interests as you do.

I originally bought the focus as a cheap daily driver back in Feb. of 2001 as a leftover 2000 model year. I only went to look and maybe test drive one. I saw them in The WRC which is what turned me onto them in the first place. I wanted something fun to drive with great handling and looks so as not to put a lot of miles on my '89 Shelby CSX. I tinted the windows the first weekend i had it. Next came the Dogbone inserts to stop all the motor movement. My first exterior mod was the mid wing from Wings West. I also installed a set of Goldline lowering springs to get rid of that 4x4 look. That's pretty much how the car stayed for the first year of ownership. I was happy with that and had the Shelby to drive when I wanted something fast.

Well a friend of mine that does a lot of work for Fox Marketing Got me into the whole sponsorship going to show and getting free product to improve my foci further. Well from there it all snowballed into the monster that it is now. You can search for any of my threads to see links to my photo albums in my sig. They are a pretty good time line of when the modding got serious.

I would also like to thank all my sponsors along the way and all the friends and family that also helped. But most of all I would like to thank my wife Melissa for putting up with me and this project. She still thinks I love my car more than her but that isn't the case.
