Project: Silver Lining. A 2003 Silver / red trim SVT that i purchased with 23k on the clock on november 23rd, 2004.

Modifications:

Power:
  • Vortech Supercharger, 2.62" blower pulley and a CFM crank overdrive pulley. approximately 14.5psi @ redline.
  • Vortech Aftercooler - recently installed (had the PWR one before)
  • Custom intake setup using 3" stainless and some silicone.
  • ProM 70mm MAFS
  • 70mm TB
  • 55lb injectors
  • RT high flow cat (yes, it has a catalytic converter)
  • 3" Stainless trubendz exhaust with magnaflow muffler and the LARGEST magnaflow resonator to quiet things down
  • Steeda STS shortened another 1" or so via a hacksaw then retapped for the shiftknob.
  • lower motor mount inserts
  • only the best Amsoil severe service 0w30 / hastings filters
  • probably some other stuff i'm missing. i had to make a bunch of parts / modify other parts and i guess that is where the love is.

Suspension / grippies
  • Apex Springs, sport
  • Koni Yellows all around
  • Sway bar bushes. After seeing SVTADAM and his bushing project, it's gonna stay that way.

Binders
  • well it's an SVT so what can you do?
  • Brembo OEM replacement rotors
  • Hawk Ceramic Pro Pads
  • Russell Braided Stainless lines
  • Prestone Synthetic Fluid

What i did to make it pretty
  • ST170 headlamps that my wonderful wife bought for me alllll the way back in 2002.
  • smoked corners and laminex'd fogs.
  • Euro upper grill that i also got in 2002
  • Tint. Does that even count?
  • windshield vinyl (black) to block out the sun
  • tinted tails michaelXI style (tint, tho, not vinyl)
  • shortened antenna?
  • i'm really not into the show mods. sorry.

What i did to the stereo system... (heh)
  • a lot. i took out the oem audiophile setup...
  • Source: Kenwood X889 in a custom made mounting panel (flushed in)
  • EQ: Audiocontrol EQS
  • Processing: Audiocontrol EPIC150
  • Processing: Audiocontrol ESP2
  • Amplification, Frontstage: Rockford Fosgate 250a2
  • Amplification, Midbass: Rockford Fosgate 75.2
  • Amplification, Substage: Rockford Fosgate bd1000a1
  • Front stage: CDT HD4"s /// CDT FG6"s /// Peerless NPT53's in custom fiberglassed kickpods. Tweets on the A pillar.
  • Midbass: eD eu700's in custom fiberglassed door pods.
  • Rear fill: oem
  • Substage: Boston Acoustics G5 12-44 in a (you guessed it!) custom fiberglassed floor enclosure.
  • Amp rack and sub enclosure flush on floor with amp rack folding up revealing power distribution and processing.
  • battery in hatch because i ran out of room under the hood with the blower and stuff.
  • soundproofing by eD v1 and v1SE

silver is just too common.

I see 8 silver cars out in just one side of the parking lot at work and half of them are CD silver Mustangs.

I'm still gonna mull this over before I decide; I have a friend in the running plus a couple cars I've really looked up to since the beginning..
