my audi - Focaljet

dont have any of the newly aquired focus, but those will come with time, money and mods :]..To keep you entertained...

here are some pics of my audi:

My audi a4 is a 99.5 audi a4 1.8tq with a gt28r turbo, giac tuning chip, APR exhaust manifold, borla cat back exhaust, eurocode test pipe, bailys diverter valve, evoms intake, APR high flow injectors, custom heat shield, N75J valve, samco piping, Spec clutch, abd racing fmic, 5.0bar fpr, h&r coilovers, oem s4 rims with dunlop sp supersport tires, m3 trunk lip, german plate, rs4 grille, rs4 front bumper, white side markers, german plate, forge boost controller, apexi super afc and a greddy turbo timer II...so in other words it's a bolt-on nightmare with around (just to make fcks happy) a rough estimated hp that shall be recalculated (not to many awd dynos in my area worth payin to use)

With a 28R, you are nowhere near 420hp.

^^ yeah that doesn't seem to add up. Can't speak to the efficiency of the turbo, but Ford 2.3 + GT28R + 12lbs = ~260whp.

Certainly no more than 270. Am I missing some important factor..?

I'm not sure about the capabilities of the turbo, but I can vouch that with the 1.8T engine, its easy to see some very, very good gains.

ie And intake, exhaust, chip, and the needed aftermarket DV valve, will net a stupid amount of HP gain.

Its not a matter of bolt-ons....the turbo physically cant push enough to make that power.

very well could be,,MY calculations are just from beating cars wtih similar horsepower in races,,but there could be other factors thrown in that i didnt really think to add haha..but really the hp is just an assumption not a fact and i truely stress the "assumption" to what i want it to be at haha

but in all truth the gt2860r does have the balls to push 400

Well at first you said gt28r which is different.

gt28r is rated for 300hp

gt2860r is rated for 350hp

A buddy of mine had a nice 99' S4 , got jacked from the train station parking lot. A shame. Always have been a fan of the boosted A4.

haha at least it's got the angles
but they are 18" custom painted black bbs rc's,,but i sold those and got some s4 rims on it now

These are the specs on your gt2860r from Garrett. Rated 250 - 360 hp for a 1.8 - 3.0L motor. These aren't rough estimates.

Also keep in mind, I think your estimating engine horsepower.

I know first hand, that Audi's AWD system loses a fair amount of power through the driveline.

ie. I've seen a FWD stock A4 take out an AWD Quattro A4.

But then again, who gives a ****? AWD rocks every other second of the day. I'm sure with alot of HP you've gotta work to get traction anyway.

Dude...you are the one making the claims of power that you are not sure about.

Also, you can quit the callout right now. Its the fastest way to get a vacation here.

BUT...
1 - If your car lost 18% of its power through the drivetrain (which is average for a 2WD manual transmission) at 400hp....you would lose almost 80hp. I do believe AWD is around 21-24% loss (if not more) through the drivetrain. So you could essentially be down to almost 300awhp. IF your turbo could push that.
2 - I have no doubt you would "smoke" my car. I drive an xB. But thanks for playing.
