I'm on there heh. Found you!
I too wanted a CW pkg2 but couldn't find pk2 in ANY color for the price I was looking for. At any rate I love the plaid seats anyways and I'm thrilled with the car as a whole. Yes it is a DSG and it is freaking brilliant to drive, I do miss manual transmissions as every car I've had has had one ( except my 62 tbird ) But on my commute. I don't mind the auto for one second! I'm content with the power for now, but I know I will be getting at minimum an APR stg1 (91 program) chip in the future. I can't really afford to do much of anything at the time, but I'm going to try to weasel in some Eibach Pro-kit springs relatively soon and just use them on the stock shocks because they are mild and will just tidy up the wheel gap. as Far as trading out the SVT recaros for the plaid seats. Don't! Unless you get THESE plaid seats Unfair how the europeans get that as an option over there in the GTI. |

Haha thanks Brian! I know. I went through way too many cars and I'm stupid. But I finally wound up with the one I wanted in the first place when I was selling my Passat. I'm happy though, I'm gonna keep this guy for a long long time. OH and here's some more pics for you guys. Just a couple basics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'd probably consider a year-or-so old GTi over a brand new tC if I could get a proper price on one and be comfortable that its previous owner hadn't beaten/raced it
I could also easily be swayed into buying a DSG-equipped one; after test-driving that transmission I can definitely say that it's the best of both worlds and is nearly perfect ![]() -Brian

: DROOL: I like the MkIV, and MkV GTI's. I would love to get one, and was hoping I could when I got my '07 ZX3, but the pricing on my Focus was right. Oh well. As soon as the Focus is paid for, I'm going to get something else so I can park the Focus more, or have something else as a toy. LOL.
As far as mods go, I'd go with everything that APR offers. Everything there is good for a nice amount of power, and I want it. LOL. Also, my ex's mom subscribed me for 2 years to Eurotuner for like $24.00, or something like that, for my birthday last year. It has some pretty cool stuff in there.

I used to get eurotuner when I had my passat, there is definitely a lot of cool things in there.
Now that the APR stgIII kit is available. I better start saving my pennies! ![]() |

I'd say so! That would be intense. I think I'll start small with the stage1 package which would put the car at 246hp/282lb-ft. Then progressively I'll build my way up to stg3 (which has the GT28 turbo) and be sure to switch to the k04 turbo, which will make ridiculous power
![]() Ludicrous speed. |

Also check out the AWE Tuning exhaust. It's probably my favorite sounding exhaust on any vehicle

My dad just got one (United Grey with DSG)... and I have my SVT for sale now so I can get one! Insurance isn't much more for me. The handling of these things out of the box is amazing... even better grip than my SVT... you'd hardly notice that the VW weighs like 500 pounds more than the Focus!
Nice choice in color Obsidian... it looks great.

Yeah I will probably get the APR chip well down the line. It's still incredibly fun stock.
I will probably be getting it lowered soon, getting it as a present to myself for earning my promotion ![]() |

^^^ Thanks for the link! ^^^
Looks like the GTI is the next best thing since Ford won't bring the Euro ST to the states.
