As far as gauge placement, I'd really like to see where you put yours tparker. Send me a pic NOW ![]() As for the shifter riser... I made them. I've made alot of the parts on my car simply because nobody else offers them, or what is available isn't quite up to par. Thats why I built the front strut bar, battery tray, shifter riser etc.

Yes it is easy to read them. They are so close together I only takes a glance to read them. The best part is you don't have to look down to see them.
Yes we even have the same wheels. LOL Just different SC's

And soon I'll have a carbon hood as well. You should try and make it up to GT Live at Miller Motorsports Park in June.

Your car is rad! I'm all gutted inside too, but I still have my blower motor and some other small things. I really like that you painted the inside white.
You have the exact same setup that I'm going for, the powerworks etc. Do you have power numbers?

Thanks for the props. Only the back is painted right now since I still had front carpet back when I painted that section. After the cage is done I'm stripping everything out and painting everything... most likely gloss white unless someone can convince me on another color
![]() As for power numbers I don't have any since I've never had it dyno'd, but I'm guessing 225 ish whp ![]() I'll eventually have a built motor for her and we'll see where I get with that. I'm shooting for 265-275 whp WITHOUT adding more boost. Only time will tell... COSitsWORTHit.... do you have any dyno #s with a similar setup???

Jan. 27th
Finished wiring up the toggle switch to the fuel pump so it can be turned on and off as needed. Debating on if I want to splice a toggle into the ignition or not. Which harness and wire color on the ignition would you all recommend splicing into?? Still waiting on the DPDT momentary toggles to come in the mail so I can finish up the power window project. More to come soon

Looks cleaner than my gutted and caged car. What type of racing do you plan on?

![]() The "stiffness" that you would get from a strut bar doesn't make the ride more harsh... just links crucial components of the car together to add rigidity to the overall structure. I don't recall if I've ever heard of a case where someone took the bar off because it made the ride to harsh. Hope that answers your question... In all honesty the Focus really doesn't "need" a front strut bar since the strut towers are basically attached to the firewall. I just made one because: A- I figured it can't hurt B- Because I wasn't a fan of the strut bars on the market for the Focus. I disagreed on the way they were designed. Now I understand they have to bend every which way so they'll miss under hood components, but in my case most of those obstructions were gone so I figured go for $h1t C- There is a certain sense of pride when you build something from raw material into a functional, useful part. I get comments all the time "What company makes that strut bar?" or "What company makes that battery tray?" or "What company makes those shifter base risers?" and I can reply to all 3 .... " I did !"

Yet another option I'm thinking about doing.....
Relocating the battery to the back of the hatch ![]() I have to run a bunch of wire to a safety cut off switch anyways, so I'm thinking I might just move it to the back. Any thoughts???

Nice! You should get white spray in bed liner, where your floor mats normally go.

Thanks for the idea.... but I'm just going to put down a little grip tape where my feet go so there is some traction and I'm not tearing the paint up.

Definitely relocate the battery. Even though its a light weight one any weight you can get off the front wheels is great since they have so much work to do as it is.
