I was surveying the front end damage. Did it do any other frame damage anywhere else other then the obvious? Doors pushed back, gaps places where there aren't supposed to be like around the passenger side door? You might be able to fix that with a bit of welding and some new parts

Just out of curiousity.

The wreck was the other guys fault or were you claimed to be at fault?

How did the insurance handle your mods? Were you reimbursed for them and then able to buy the car back?

I just fear the day if my focus gets in a wreck...the insurance company would have a **** fit after I hand them the stack of reciepts I have for all my stuff (especially the freeking motor...)

Still sucks to see another focus down...at least its good to know these little cars can take a hit and still have the owners walk away.

I have already had multiple offers on the rims. I like them and am going to keep them.

the wreck was 100% the other party's fault. I have an attorney working on the insurance company right now. this is going to suck. I gave the attorney a list of all the after market parts on the car with retail prices and locations. he is working on a lawsuit against the other guy and his insurance right now. the attorney has told me that this will probably be a long drawn out processes.

I have not bought the car back yet. the insurance company offered me 3,000 for it. I was so insulted that I told the attorney to sue. and that is where we are at.

just an update for everyone, the insurance company is still jerking me around. I don't have a car. but I did get a donor car to receive the drive line and engine from my car. so I will have another focus. this one is a red sedan. it is already gutted and will become a race car.
