I love this car. Just the right amount of CF and contrast in just the right places. The polished centerlines look great too. They are a nice change from the norm. To me this is the perfect example of being "classy" and "strictly business" at the same time.

Heh. Envy is a funny thing. It seems we always yearn for what we don't have. Yesterday at Pacific Raceways, I was pitted next to a guy that had a double trailer setup. The tow vehicle had what was basically a single-car, covered trailer built onto the chassis; behind that, he pulled another single-car, covered trailer. In one trailer he had a red, 2006ish Lotus Elise. In the other trailer? A 2006 Caterham Seven CSR (the first shipped to the U.S. back when they had just started equpping the Caterhams with the Cosworth-modified, Duratec motors). His comment: "If it gets wet, I'll stick with the Elise. If it's dry, I'll take the Seven out." I guess I envy that guy, although he was kind of full of himself. He said he really wants to paint the car, but he's got all these photos of the car (in blue) from the car magazines and he just couldn't bring himself to do it. I know the feeling. I can't bring myself to wash my car...I have sentimental feelings about all the tar stains. |

I posted a video from this day with some notes about the new config to my local crew. Reposting here:
* YouTube version (fast streaming) * Uncompressed (30 MB download) (Right click to slowly download...much better resolution) |
