sorry man, I havent had alot to do while waiting on parts!

your tails showed up today but my wife didnt pick them up from the office. I'll get them in the morning before I head out to the shop to work on it. I also got my center tit. Its not as nice as I had hoped (large scratch) but I'll sand it down and paint it tomorrow before installing it. I should have my SVTF coolant tank and CAI here next week. Im going to call Derrick and see if I can pick up the lower grill from him in the morning. Waiting to hear back from a member on shipping for fogs.

**** for Dave to fix is piling up.

New pics tomorrow, I PROMISE!!!

Wish I had that problem with parts for the mustang. I only have a 400 dollar trunk lid sitting around that needs painted for it.

Well, like I said, they have some nightshade on them, and the one side is a bit scratched, and I cant tell if it was in the lense, or if it was the nightshade itself. Have fun

you need more of whatever you use to make lenses come out so damn clean.

I've got headlights, fogs, and now taillights that need the magic touch. Probablly more nightshade too. I wasnt planning on murdering it out but maybe I will.

Its alot of work to ask, Id be willing to hang with you one day and you can show me the proper way to get the shine back so I can do it myself.

BTW dave, your hazard switch came in yesterday.

Thanks for the tails Matt!!! They look great and Im really excited about getting them on today. I'll order the missing socket on monday and decide what I want to do about the nightshade/light scratch.

Default Re: my new pile of sheet metal. (project RoRo Revive) UPDATED AGAIN!

I picked up the tailights that 1svt4u2c was nice enough to donate to me. They look great and I put them on first thing when I got there. I still plan on cleaning them up and redoing the nightshade but how can I resist installing new parts!?

I also got my new center tit and was disapointed when I saw it had a large scratch on it. I decided to sand it down and repaint it satin black. It'll look OEM but take care of the scratch. Here is the tit after removing the switches but before prep and paint.

While I waited for the paint to dry, I cleaned up the wiring some and put the lower panel on I think Im missing a start enable clutch switch, I guess I'll just short the connector together.

After a few more coats, I spent the waiting time by pulling the car out of its hole and giving it a quick wash to clear off the muddy rain we had last week. I must say, she looks damn good!

by this time, I was done painting the tit. But I decided patience was the better part of valor and left it in the car to dry overnight before installing it. I'll go back tomorrow and actually put it in.

When I got home today, this was sitting on the table for me. Im going to swap the ****ty rubber couplers out for nice black silicone ones and get some black hose clamps. Give it that nice murdered look. I know the maf section is no good but Its ok I know how to fix this, Im the mechanic. Im taking it to the shop and using the chop saw to cut out the maf section. then i'll be able to use the stock maf housing in its place for a quality CAI at a fraction of the price. I also have a better filter sitting in my closet.

Wish I could have done more but I feel pretty acomplished and things are progressing as they should. I have fogs and lower grill coming as well as engine parts and other odds and ends.

I'm surprised RoRo isn't checking up on this thread. Every now and then he'll pop in and put up a picture of his new lamborghini or something.

Nice! Glad to see I could help out somewhat. Can't wait to see the tails cleaned up! In the first two pics, they don't really look bad, because the car is dirty. But after the bath, you can see how bad they really are. When it rained, they weren't too bad. I just never got around to "fixing" them, because I had already purchased and installed my other lights.

Anyway, Glad to see them on the car, and thanks for the update! Can't wait for another update though, !

^^So, the wait paid off (as far as waiting for the paint to dry over night)? Looks good.
