Very nice. I wish that I was able to pick it up but it just wasn't going to be possible.

Because it had lots of nice stuff on it that other folks wanted for their own cars.

That car and its parts have seen more jetters than mostly any other I can think of. I was SUPPOSED to buy the kami bumper/hood, but that fell through due to a quick sale (to HondaHunter IIRC), but Drew gave me the Drivers Fender when mine got kicked in. RoRo's car just WONT die.

I knew the car had been a parts car for awhile but how did it even end up on that route? blown engine, car wreck, repo?

Luckily drew and Larry didnt sell enough parts to make it a total loss. Despite all the missing things, all the essentials are there. I need to get a radiator and fans, MAF, Hoses, mounts, bumper, seat (already have some sweet Corbeaus being held for me). I think thats about it. I need some SVTF axles and after seeing the ****ty steering column in action, one of those. I'll probablly press new bearings if I dont end up getting 05+ knuckles and brakes.

Like I said, my first goal is to get this bitch moving under her own power. Then I'll worry about dressing it up and tweaking it. Given that I already have a complete powertrain, Id say Im closer than anyone to getting it running.
'
oh, and if you think its gutted now, wait untill you see some pics later this week. The great thing about gutting a car is its free. At this point its so much easier to complete the process than try to rebuild the interior. The only interior piece I really want/need is the center tit.

If I remember correctly it was quite shredded when RoRo delivered it to you.

So, at that point... the only thing to do was to part out what was left of it.

I think we can safely say that this car should be in the Guinness book of records for the newest car that has had 50 different owners

IIRC, Tom had the car at his shop for almost two years, building a sick turbo setup for it, but when RoRo was driving it home, the motor came apart (or shortly after he took delivery anyhow). RoRo was in the midst of his Aveo build (or maybe his RSX, who knows...), so he just let the Focus sit and finally gave it to Drew for a pizza and a quarter.

Everything else seems accurate, it was during the RSX.... waaaaay before the Aveo.

It was a good pizza. The old drivers seat can now be found on a swamp buggy.

Here it is at our shop being dRew's personal storage space (sorry for the bad pic):

Default Re: my new pile of sheet metal. (project RoRo Revive) UPDATED!!!!!

GAWDDAM! I'd say the shape it's in now is better than the shape it was in that day!!

damn Drew, you are a car's worst nightmare.

ok so here is the update. After work I ran by my dad's place and grabbed my shifter assembly and cables. I didnt get a good pic of it but if you look, you can see the getrag shifter installed. I found all the nuts for the shifter and ones for the firewall plug.

Then I started ripping **** out! I love gutting things. Its so easy and cheap. The back seat, seatbelts, latches, hatch mat, rear trim, speakers, noise deadning foam, and misc pading is gone!

and the obligatory pic of the parts pile so far. not pictured is the complete back seat.

I also found some wires that had been cut. I dont know wtf they go to so hopfully someone that had the car before can help me. They come from the column modules so usually those are kind of important. If anyone knows, please tell me. It'll save me alot of time on alldata.

I also found a few dash trim pieces I didnt see before. less **** to try and find.
