Default Re: my new pile of sheet metal. (project RoRo Revive)

good advice! I'll try the roll on.

Now that some parts have arrived, I've done some good work. I brought the engine and trans down to Prestige and started bolting it all up. I got the new tensioner on and the alternator. I found out the injector harness I bought wont work because the main plug is wrong. And the escape harness that came with it is also worthless because the plug is on the wrong side and the wires are too short to flip to the other side. I also found out my idler is wrong. so gotta go shopping again.

bolted the missing shift cable bracket onto the trans,

my junk pile is building up.

LOTS more parts are en route and more frequent updates should be occuring.

first two parts arrived today. ES mount bushings and a ZF power steering resevoir. Is it OEM plus if you use OEM parts from other makes?

I bought the BMW resevoir because its a hell of alot nicer than the Ford POS. Nasty yellow plastic.

^^Do I see V8 to the right in that picture? No alcohol? Oh, and a jar of baby food?.....Either, the stuff you're drinking is making you crave some awkward stuff, or the wife took that last picture. I kid I kid. That reservoir should look nice vs the yellow factory ford one.

so now that you are here, how did this thing end up as a junk pile? I noticed a few body fitment issues with the front right corner, did it get wrecked?

And I didnt buy it because I wanted to restore it. I bought it because I was looking for a shell and this one was available. But it is cool that it has a story.

O my, he has spoken. It is a very very rare occasion to see that name present on these boards. He may be gone again, we may never know the answer.

I was just messing around, the thought never entered my head that you were trying to restore it back to what it was or anything.

I never wrecked it. I just had 2 turbo installs go bad on it and blew the engine twice. After the 2nd turbo kit failed, I pretty much threw in the towel and sold it to Drew for the cost of a pizza.

When I got it, it looked as it did in the pictures RoRo posted, aside from a few missing interior bits.

I was not smart w/ it and I deemed it to be a 'parts car', it was originally dismantled(quite rudely) by myself and some choice Floridians.

The car has had most of it's body panels removed and sold, then replaced and taken off again, so fitment issues would make sense.

dont even ****in doubt me man. I may not get it done as fast as I want to but I'll get it done. That engine you see, has been sitting in my dad's garage since 2003. Its a brand new surplus engine that has never even seen the inside of a car. I've been working on this project for 5 years. If you dont think I'll finish, you're crazy. Since my last post, a few more parts have showed up and more are coming. Im planning on having the motor stabbed in the next 2 weeks. from there, its just nickel and dime **** untill its running. (except for the damn SVTF axles, that aint nickel and dime )

I've got a set of SVTF axles, they may need to be greased and cleaned(been outside), but they are definately good.

Want em?
