Default My Friend's GT500 Shelby Cobra

Thought I would share some pics of my friend's car. Guess what industry he works in... yep... Oil.

Anyway, I drool every Thursday and Sunday when I see this car. By the way... it' not stock either and the warranty is way beyond voided.

Thoroughbred and Colt (My car )

Can't see them from this angle, but there are some big ol' Brembos in there.

That there is advertising, not a company, but instead it's advertising 700+ HP

I think God even likes this car By the way, I'm not joking, the owner is the guitarist in our worship band at church.

Good color combo. Needs some Griggs Suspension lovin, a better wheel/tire combo and a tint. Pretty much perfect pony car at that point. Nate

Love it!!! I Love that GT500! Such a beautiful car. While i do love nice muscle cars, I still would probably not ever get one, however that GT500 is one I would own if I could afford it.

Of course I love the NC

Honestly I don't remember off the top of my head. When we were talking about dyno runs and stuff he was mentioning a bunch of hp's and he lost me at some point and I forgot which one was actually his.

Anyway, I know at one point he was talking upwards of 700+ Hp, can't guarantee that WHP but I know it's up there. He is the type that likes to play with the engine to get the most out of it without changing everything else. This car is his daily driver, so he doesn't want it to be too over the top hence why no surface mods.

I remember him mentioning that he dropped the Kenne Bell SC in because he could gain a significant amount of HP out of the engine as opposed to the stock SC. He left the original exhaust which actually helped give him better back pressure and increased his HP even more.

Either way the car is sick.

Another guy at my church has this car... we're just loaded with Muscle!!! This one is also way beyond warranty and has a lot of engine work done. Bored, stroked, etc. Pushes well over 600hp naturally.

Before the mods

This same guy already has connections to pre-order a Camaro SS when they begin the pre-order on them. By then his GTO will be paid for and will sit in his Garage.

GTO's are nasty even factory, the dealership I used to recondition paint for had them in stock all the time.... Only thing that sucked was the limiter at the beginning of second gear that basically stops you from spinning a 180 going down the road at full throttle lol... The only thing pontiac has put out worth driving in a long time... Oh wait, its because they didn't design it.

Nice cars.... i never really understood why most Mustang owners' who put so much money into parts to make big HP and low 1/4 mi. ET's don't put much $ or thought into suspension. that car would look the bizz dropped a few inches on those wheels IMO

Fun cars they are!

I've got 2 sitting in my shop right now. One is owned by the CEO of CPS Energy and the other one was traded in for a Focus....

The 5.7 version is neck and neck with a factory z28 camaro, however the 6.1 is rediculous.

and OMG what a sick mustang.

Theres actually quite a few that do autocross them and have money into suspension components but it's definetly not the majority. The mustang is deemed a muscle car because of it's history as a muscle car and was really never meant to handle at all. Really the people that are looking to buy something to autocross wont buy a mustang.

good god i just thru up in my mouth a lil bit looking at those taillights....sick stang tho, must be a monster and sound like one too

ahhh the headlight covers on the GTO just make it look like a riced out pontiac grandprix....best leaving em off to show the beauty of them. I love the GTOs, while they really dont show much retro to it, they are nasty from factory
