Finally got my SVT lights in the mail and my 8000k HID kit. I must say that there is a HUGE difference in having projectors as opposed to halogen housings. I am going to leave it however as I like the SVT lights better then the faux machs I once had. Also I finally installed my F2 wing. Kind of a pain to install, but I got it on and it looks good

Car looks good! Some of those pics are great...
The additional lighting candlepower must be nice... anyone flashed you yet? ![]() I'm hoping the answer is "no".

After I got them aimed appropriately not at all! Also which was a nice surprise, as I was unaware when ordering, the HID had a halogen bulb on it for teh brights, so i can retain stock halogens or HID if I want. I thought it was a cool touch. I recently got stopped for ym front plate being imporper mounting, and he commented on my lights and appreciated the fact that they were aimed low enough, even though the color is not legal.

Looks fabulous! I particularly like this pic:
![]() This is much where I'm wanting to take my car, although I'm not sure about the F2 wing. SAP defuser will be da' bomb on your car's ass too!

B E A U T I F U L !!! I love the stance, wheels, the shaved euro front bumper, and how well you carried the black accent theme out. The diffuser and black roof will look great too. Looks like you have a talented body man because the work on the front bumper looks great and so does all the paint work. Nothing is overdone on your car. My ONLY suggestions (you knew you would get some when you posted pics on here
) is to go with the SVT mirrors for a cleaner look and paint the side molding body color. The SVT mirrors will still go with your theme since they have that glossy black base. The mirrors you have now aren't bad, but they look a little cheap to me. I know the side molding goes with your theme (I kept mine unpainted for the same reason), but on a light color like yours I think it stands out a little too much. Plus the rear hatch trim is painted. In the end it's your car so do what makes you happy. Keep up the great work and keep us posted with your progress!!

95% of the car = win.
the 5% left (the hids in the reflectors) is not a good thing at all. sorry. I know you're going to come back and say, "they don't glare at all" "they are aimed correctly". its still a poor choice and in many states illegal. These kinds of "mods" are part of the reason that law enforcement is so hard on the sport compact scene.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! If you looka bove I said I was thinking of teh SVT mirrors for the same reason you stated! The mirrors I have now are fading and look like ****. Also the HIDs in reflectors I agree are a bad choice. They scatter and you are right they will never be aimed correctly, I even stated I liked it in my projectors and would not recommend this to anyone. I just ldidnt like my faux machs with my new bumper, and they were peeling as well. So the SVT lights were perfect, they are black and have teh subtle look I am looking for. I just couldnt do that yellow light from the halogen bulbs, I got so accustom to the white output it bothered me. The side moldings I was goign to paint, but they are really growing on my being black to be honest lol Thanks again for all the feedback guys appreciate it!

I like how ur car turned out, the only thing that really stands out to me are the blue fog lights, they kinda make the car look cheap, reminds me of cheap pepboys foglights. But everything else looks good together, maybe painted handles and moldings.

Ya I was gonna say that about the fogs too! They dont look horrible but they would look better with some different ones!

Nice car! Really digging its new look. I just dropped my f2 wing off at the body shop to get painted today.
Idk why, but every pic thread you post you have pics of the car in front of those 2 truck bay doors. haha Its a good spot though, i really like the car!

Ugh, that looks like such a large amount of light scatter and general unsafe night-time driving hazards there
Other than that, I really like where your car's come, bro. Though it'd truly be a knockout with the side moldings painted to match the rear hatch strip, the SVT mirrors put back on, and the fog lights tinted some sort of light charcoal ![]() -Brian

definitely benefit from the SVT mirrors... but PLEASE leave the moldings black. Even if you smooth and paint... leave em black
what are you doing for turns btw? |
