Mate, I'm sooooo sorry to see/hear this, I had no clue anything happened to your beast! The replacement is great though, and you'd make my life if you made a white RS

Let me start by saying, I'm sorry to hear about the loss. Sounded like it would have been an easy fix before the fire broke out. Glad to hear that you are ok though, and getting back into another focus! Way to keep your head up! Again, I know it must be hard loosing your baby after putting so much time and effort in to her. Just take care of the RS like you did your previous focus.

Now, on to answer one of your questions with a question....

We'll see. Might just keep this for 6 months and go the Cossie route.

But I'd rather have my focus back

Ever see a L.H.D. RS? Or, a R.H.D. svt?

Now to answer your questions with other questions, Matt: What side of the road do they drive on in Germany? And have you ever heard of the ST170 Focus?

Just ordered my 9x18 Compomotive MO wheels and H & R lowering springs. That should sort the ride and exterior look a bit No one has put 9x18 before, only 8x18, so that should stand out a bit with the extended lip

But like I said before, even if I chuck money at this RS and all those years of hard work again, it'll never be what my Focus was

Basic story, oil pump died at a pathetic 70mph on the motorway late at night, she threw a rod and **** its guts all over the place. That was fine in a way, I can rebuild that, but the oil caught the turbo and lit up...

Not sure, but I would assume they drive on the left side of the road because they are R.H.D.? Maybe I'm wrong on that, but its just a guess. And to answer the other question, Yes. Now, to answer that question with another question...when was the last time you saw a R.H.D. (ST170 style) SVT focus here in the states? Now, if you can answer that with something along the lines of "Well, there was one on site www.???.com" or can point me in the right direction to see one from here in the states, that would be awesome. Otherwise, it'd be cool to have the first R.H.D. SVTF here in the states!

The majority of Focus RS built were LHD. Out of all of Europe, only the U.K. drives on the left and sits on the right. The rest of Europe works just like here... except with much better drivers.

Personally, I don't see that there is anything cool about converting a LHD car to RHD just for the unique factor. As a matter of fact, I don't see anything cool about doing weird things just to be different. If I saw a converted RHD SVTF, I'd merely think it was an odd way to spend a lot of cash.

...it is kind of like repainting an RS just to be different... that doesn't make any sense to me.

Now, if somebody repainted it because they like the new color.... that's great!

wow! thanks for the insight. I don't even have the money to even begin thinking about doing that kind of a swap. Not to mention, I'd rather spend that kind of money on a V8 swap. Again, don't have the money for it......bah, just ignore me for now....

You're taking a chance when buying an already modified car because you don't KNOW who did the work, when and with what parts.
