I murdered out my MACH headlights....

Gloss black.

Some of the pics turned out horrible because of the sunlight directly on them and the glare...but you get the idea...

and the underhood shot. valve cover now even seals with the correct gasket!

what lurks under there....

awesome - can i ask how you got them back together - i know there are a couple ways. and would you do anything different. i am about to do mine and would like some input from someone who has already done it.

um. i went and for some clear adhesive chaulking from home depot and just put them back together.

i used a 750F heatgun i got for 25$ to evenly heat one small 3inch strip of the seam and just work my way around the lightly VERY slowly...evenly heat the area tho....take your time. it took me about 30-45 min per light to split them safely.

They look alright on that car because the center hood section and roof are black, black headlights would mess with that line. On Stolles car its all red, I thought it would look washed out with red headlights and maybe that is what he was thinking too.

Yea, it just kind of reminds me of a red focus with painted red hella's. To much red imo. I like the black myself!

But the painted red mach's on that car dont look half bad either. Def. better than having painted red hella's.
