Got my projectors installed and running, I wired the halos into a fuse box that I had already installed for add-ons. They look incredible! Although, I'm still running the crappy halogens that came with it, cause I don't have the right size HID kit for these. I have 9007s, I need H1s. Oh well, I'm selling the 9007 kit to a friend and I'm gonna buy a new H1 kit. Anybody have suggestions on the best HID kits, link to a forum tread etc?

Sorry for kinda hitchhiking on your thread pimptastic, but I'm wanting to retrofit some HID projectors into the housing we have. Does anybody know what would fit? I have yet to measure the projectors it comes with so I can't provide that info.

I believe any H3 H.I.D. Conversion kit will work just fine. I forgot the brand that i bought but i had measured it and any H3 bulb would fit perfect inside of there. Those projectors will ONLY take H3 bulbs. Good luck. I say go for 6000K anything higher than 6000K will be less bright and more darker colors like blue/purple. Lemme kno how it turns out Taco

Yeah I was just looking at those tonight. For some reason I had been thinking the both the highs and lows were H1. Oops. I hear that H3s are designed for fog light use, so I was looking into retrofitting in some other projectors. I just took apart one of the headlights about a half hour ago to take measurements, and it looks like the famous TSX projector just won't fit
![]() Oh well, doesn't matter as long as the beam pattern is ok. I noticed that the beam pattern with the halogens they come with is absolutely horrible, jaggies everywhere, light and dark spots all over. So I tried putting my 9007 HID bulbs in there to see if it improved the beam pattern at all, and all those nasty spots went away, so I think it's just the crappy stock bulbs. Note that I wasn't trying to actually install a 9007 bulb into these, I just held the projector in one hand and the bulb in the other and put the bulb into the hole to try and match the focal point of the stock bulb. So I'm really hoping that a H3 HID kit will cure the jaggies and give me a nice smooth beam. Also, no glare at all with the HID, which is a nice suprise H3s have a sideways filament in them, which makes the light spread out more instead of throw. Hence their use in fog lights. But the HID kit I'm looking at uses the normal vertical capsule, so it should work more like an actual headlight. I'm just so worried I'm not gonna like the results and waste a bunch of money. Whew, my fingers are tired lol. |

I just bought a 55w 5000k kit for the lows from Retro Solutions, I'll put some pics up when I get them in.

Your car looks amazing, I'm sure it looks even better in person (if possible). If you do find out a website where your local shop bought the headlights, it would be appreciated if you posted or pm'd it, because I wouldn't mind investing in them.

Grab a DRL (daytime running light) kit from a local parts store and connect the angel eyes that way, so they will always be on when the car is on and you don't have to worry about a switch.
