Default Taking delivery today! I hope.... :o)

It's a Titanium Gray 2002 Yamaha RoadStar Warrior!

17,000 miles, Clean as hell and 1670 cc's of pure fury!

I went to take a look at it yesterday after finishing a few PDR appointments.

I'm kinda weary about signing the paperwork since my wife just got laid off, but I'll pick up the slack!

The bike really looks like it should only have a few hundred miles on it. The guy really took great care of it.

He decided to sell it since he got another bike and he can't really justify having 2 in his garage.

Woot for me!

First thing to do is lower the rear about 1 3/4 inches!

Those things are nasty, be carefull. That thing will keep up with my sporty even with the engine mod's. How long have you been riding? That thing is a torque machine and not really a good first bike if you ride anything like me

Edit: I've been sitting here looking at it for a while. The aluminim frame, sportbike suspension, huge 2into1 muffler (that looks aftermarket, the stock one is like a fart can) mixed with cruiser lines, forward controls, pullback drag bars really makes for a confusing bike to look at. Have you looked at the specs on new VMAX? They're INSANE but look like a space craft to me.

This will be my first cruiser. I've ridden bikes all my life and I do have my license....

I gotta be honest that I've never ridden anything as large as this 1700 but I'm not a throttle happy rider.

I went on a test ride on a VTX1300 last weekend and I pushed the hell out of that bike and never even batted an eye.

I think I'll be super happy with the Warrior.

I have looked at the V-Max, but I'll take this bike instead.

They're solid bikes, one of my friends rides a V-max and his younger brother just sold his GSXR-600 and bought a bike like this one, I wanna say its an 04. They're pretty stable at slow speeds for a bike this size, I was suprised. You'll enjoy it I'm sure, comfort and pleanty of power to spare...Thats why I like ballsy cruisers over sportbikes any day. Definitely a good choice

I gotta ask ya Dave... what's your height/weight, and is that why you're dropping the back?

I'm the perfect height, but my inseem is a bit short. The pegs are the perfect length, but having to get around the exhaust causes my right foot to not plan perfectly flat.

I'm not tippy toeing, but I'd rather be fully planted.

Update: The guy just called me and told me that he went out to the the garage and found a few small drops of gas under the bike. He thinks that a mouse chewed on the hose last night.

He's taking it to get checked out and he'll give me a call.

I'm just ready to get back on a bike damnit!!

Thanks, I really appreciate it.

I should be getting it by Wednesday now. We gotta get that leak fixed.

I know you've gotta ride as if everyone were out to kill you in this city.....

lol, I'm not sure if a mouse would chew through the line for gas. I think it was an issue he knew about and had second thoughts on letting you buy it with problem...Either way its probably $70 in labor for a $10 line, good thing hes paying for it

If that's the case, I'm glad his concience got the better of him. Because I don't like being ****ted I have never been good with dishonest people.....

I went to look at it yesterday afternoon and there wasn't a drop of anything under the bike. It could also be that a line just decided to crap out at the last minute....

Who really knows, but he said that it should be fixed by Wednesday at the latest. He's got a buddy that used to work at a bike shop here in town who will get on it tomorrow morning.

Thanks a lot Dillon and Jason. I'll be taking delivery today at lunch time!

He called yesterday and let me know that it was just a small leak and they replaced the hose.

I'm glad he took the time to make sure that the bike was right!

Here's a nice Bobber Warrior off of the YMF boards. I'm hoping to lower the rear and give it a look like this....but I'm keeping the chrome and keeping it shiny.
