Default Some more racecar pics

Well I haven't posted any pics in a while, so I figured I'd throw some pics up. I'm getting better at this whole thing, so it's starting to be a lot more fun. In the last 3 races I've finished 10th (started 15th), 7th (started 11th), and 8th (Started 14th). Now to some of you that might not sound so great, but this is only my 8th race EVER, and those guys that I'm up there racing with in the top 10 have been doing this for years. (one of them 30+) So that is a big accomplishment for me. Here they are:

(Comments welcome)

This guy won last week, I raced him door to door for 10 laps, but my car was just too loose in turns 1-2 to make it stick. It was alot of fun though.

This was from Tuesday. We had a race called "Topless Tuesday" where you race without your roof.

Making a pass on the outside

Thanks...they do the topless race as a tribute to a guy that was killed about 20 years ago. His car rolled over, and the roof was smashed up so bad that he couldn't get out. By the time that they got him out of the car, fuel had leaked down into the roof and he asphyxiated and died.

Thank you Sir. I'd also like to add that there are between 20-24 cars there every week. And I am the ONLY one that had ZERO racing experience.

Thanks Ray. I really hope so. I just really need a good starting position. It's determined by a "Pill" system where you pull a number for your heat race, and where you finish your heat determines where you start in the "Feature". (Plus there are a few different inverts in there to even things up). The best I've started so far is 11th. I know if I start up front, I can finish up there.

Looks like you had fun! Do those bumpers drag on the ground? In some of the pics it looks really close! When you gonna start modding the focus I wanna see some pics of that!! LOL!

yeah, it hits the ground, that's why it's all tore up.

I don't know when/if I'll do anything to the Foci. It's mainly just going to be a Daily Driver. We'll see.

I am sure having an actual race car helps keep the focus stock

Ashley,

See....it hits when you are going fast. Although you want to try and stop that from happening, because it upsets the handling of the car. I'm going to raise that corner up a little...just the actual bumper, not the ride height.

Yeah, having the racecar definately sucks up my time and money that I would use to do anything to the Focus.

Ashley...seeing who can get off first doesn't count as racing.

I'll have to get some video's so that you guys can see what it's like.

Have you ever done it? I doubt that you could come down a couple hundred foot straight away at 130mph, than throw the car sideways through the turns in a group of 24 cars, and not kill yourself. I can count on one hand the number of times that I've actually turned the wheels "to the left".

They spend more time turned to the right than anything.

There's a company that makes a camaro decal kit, but it doesn't really look good on these cars.

Justin, as I said in your last thread, I have and will be reading every single updated post. I may not post every time though. There are interested parties, we exist, I just don't know what else to say. "Wow! Great Job" seems to get old after a few times

I'm still jealous and would love to join you for a few laps (or few seasons )
