Default Don't think I've shown you this yet...sorry, kinda boring [Sorry 56k]

I've been a lurking member for awhile now, but a Focus member for around 2 and a half years.

I'm going to start being around here a lot more so I figured I'd show off The Snot Rocket.

Back in Nov 07 my buddy and I painted her up and decided to go with a custom color we call "Titanium". Really it's just 1 part Fords Spruce Green and 1 part Liquid Gray. It came out weird but I love it now. The roof is Black with a Sapphire effect that you really can only see in the sun. Kinda pointless but I think the fumes got to our heads...lol.

Started off originally as an S2

I like how the S2 wing, Roush mid-wing and the Xenon lower lip all flow together. Completely by mistake...haha. The Roush exhaust is painted in high heat black and tucked away.

Recently had the inserts painted black. There are a lot of imperfections in the front because of lazy prepping, so in the spring we're going to repaint her.
And I've really got to fix that sag, wow that's really bad.....

Ebay lights. Meh, I don't like the angel eyes. I'll be changing those to ST170's eventually. And I think I'll paint my grill black again instead of color matched.

Ebay taillights too. But I nite-shaded them and put in some LED cluster bulbs with load resistors.
Might go back to stock sometime though. lol

Interior has been three different colors finally landing on black. Console and handles has been smoothed down. I'll be taking this back to the shop for more clear and polish. The bottom half of the dash was painted black with vinyl paint. So far no issues with it and I love it. Wish I had better pics of it though. Ebay gauge overlay. Wish I never did it. I'll be replacing that soon too with an ST bezel and some speedhut gauges maybe.

Yes it's an Automagic. Hey, I can't drink my coffee and drive stick at the same time...lol. Nah, I might swap her out for an mtx-75 sometime.

I dyed the headliner and painted all pillars black with vinyl paint. I also did the seats but now they attract so much hair and fur and crap that I'll be getting some new seats sometime. It's really driving me nuts.

Powder Coated my Euro's that I got from MEANSVT (thanks dude). Slapped on some Nitto Neo-Gens.
They're okay tires, but I think i'll go with some dedicated summer tires next time.

Bunch of mods under there. Huge K&N filter, upgraded ground, Xcal2 with the generic FocusSport tune, ect, ect. Will be throwing on a header/flex soon, but I need to save for ceramic coating so I can do it all at once.

A gaggle of us going on a cruise through the twisties which ultimately destroyed my rotors. Got some Centric blanks and Hawk Pads on the way as well as an ES master bushings kit.

And this is what happens when you're in the shop around all those fumes for a few days straight.
Chevy Focus

And I REALLY wish I could have gone to FOTB. I used to ride my bike to Goleta beach everyday after work. Man I miss that. I flipped a lid when I saw it was there!

Peace out for now, hope this thread didn't piss anyone off or blow up any serv3rz.....

Thanks. Yeah, if I could do it over again (which I may) I'll probably drop the wings and go Euro. I know that's a popular decision by a lot, but for good reason....it looks clean and incredible!

I really like the color, although I think a bit more green would really pop it. I'm having a hard time getting a good read on it, with the various lighting that the pictures have. Some pictures make it almost look like a pearl.

I agree that the mid-wing is questionable, but the rest of the kit makes it work. My only other suggestion would be to tone down the glossiness (is that a word?!) on the interior.

Can't wait to see pictures once you repaint it, and I think you're a little bit hard on yourself for the mods that are on it. It looks good.

Wow, I love it!! The one off color that appears more grey then green looks sweet especially with all the black accents. You just made me want to paint the pillars/roof of my Liquid Grey ZX3 black...haha. I love how you FULLY carried out the black accent theme with the tinted tails, black headlights, tint, painted black roof, wheels, and bumper accent. You seem like a bit of a perfectionist....haha. I think that the items that you seem less then thrilled about and plan to change really aren't that bad at all. You made the ebay tails better by tinting them and adding the LEDs, which by the way look pretty cool in that night shot. Where did you get that grill because it appears to fit flawlessly (no not the Chevy one). Only thing I would really change is the S2 wing. I've never been a fan of it, but it's your car. I love what you have done and your future plans for it. Feel free to post more pics and keep us updated with your progress!!!!

Oh man, that color is freakin' awesome And I think you've just made up my mind that I need to buy some vinyl/fabric dye and do my headliner. My buddy and I have been talking about doing it forever, but we've never gone through with it yet

Wow, i really like what you've done with the car. (sans mid wing. i hated those even when they were more popular)

The color is pretty trick, i like what you've done with the interior, etc.

Dude the color is definately original, i like that its not the same as everyone elses you know? My ONLY drawback is the mid-wing. The car would look soo much cleaner without it, but other than that its a GREAT lookin car keep up the hard work.

Nice touch on the front bumper! I ALWAYS wanted to see how that would look! Only thing I would get rid of would be that top wing. Oh, and what rear lip is that? I dont think I've ever seen that one before. Very nicely done so far, keep up the good work!

He doesn't seem to be on here too much (hasn't responded to my PM yet) so I'll answer your question...haha. The rear lip is Xenon. I'm totally with you about the S2 top wing. I have NEVER liked those on ANY focus, but to each there own. A lot of people don't like the WW mid wing (what he has on his focus), but I like it.

Love the car... just one question...

What's the deal with the crank for the sun roof? Almost looks like a camper vent. Sorry... I'm just playin'. I've just never seen anything like that in a car before.

Manual sun roof ftw haha. One of my buddies with an old gti has a manual sunroof...it's awesome

The car looks great man (even though it has a mid wing lol)

Thanks! Yea, I like that bottom wing (the 3 piece). I'd like to get that and some sort of top wing as well, but I'm torn between to many. But one thing is for sure, its not going to be the S2 wing.

And @ the "chevy focus" picture. I saw the picture before I read the caption, and I'm like "*double take* wtf.....chevy focus....hahahaha"
