Default WINNER of September FOTM: I Went to FOTB! - Mr. Blue!

The Competitors

The Winner:

Mr. Blue

Quote:

This is our newest Focus. The 4th in a series. This is a 2004 ZX3 with a 2.3 Duratec and manual transmission. It's current mod list is fairly short and consists of:

Go:
Cosworth Intake
FocusSport Exhaust
H&R Coil-Overs
H&R Rear Sway-Bar
Energy Suspensions Poly Sway Bar Bushings
205/50/15 BF Goodrich GForce Sport

Show:
Custom Rusted Competition Orange SVT Focus Hood
Hand Built Omnispeed Tuning Steel and Oak Roof Basket
Thule Roof Rack and Bike Rack
15 x 7 - 30mm offset Royal Gold Rota RBs

Sound:
Alpine 9885 iPod enabled CD Stereo
Audiophile speakers through-out
10" Elemental Design SQ10 Shallow Sub custom fit to an audiophile sub box powered by an Alpine MRP M500 amp

This car is just about perfectly modified for my daily commute. I pretty much intend to just daily drive it while I work on my Mustang SVO. The mods that it includes are for the most part intended to make it capable for a back-road hustle or a comfortable sit in traffic.

Admittedly the recent additions of rusty hood, roof rack, and wheels have been to personalize it a bit and I really like where it sits right now.

I think it is a nice mix of an original Focus look and subtle styles.

For a picture of the sub setup click here.

For a group of pictures detailing the recent FOTB build including detailed pictures of the roofrack build click here.

I've really appreciated all of the positive comments and I'm completely flattered to be included in a group of beautiful cars like these.

Go Rusto!

I tell ya.. the wheels are quite a sight.

One one side sits the 40mm offset 16" RBs, and on the other sits the 30mm offset 15" RBs. The different in offset clearly went entirely to the dish.

I'd have to say, the 15" 30mm offset takes the win in the looks department.
