Default I've been busy lately... Take a look (56k)

I have done a few mods to the car in the past few weeks and thought I would share them finally.

First I painted the rusty rear drums....

Before:

After...

Then I installed the Steeda Tri-ax Short Shift (awesome product!!)

.... And put on a shorty antenna and painted the antenna base...

Last week I installed the AEM CAI and it sounds awesome!

Yesterday I installed the SVT suspension kit and debadged it. I'm only posting one picture of the debadged rear because you really can't tell a difference the suspension made visually yet. but more later.

So that's it for now. Hope you all like what I have done lately. It was lots of work but I had FUN!

good lookin, man. it's cool how something as subtle as painting your drums and calipers black make so much of a difference.

PnkRckr

I got the antenna from Central Florida Motorsports for $20. Here is the link: http://focus.c-f-m.com/index.asp?Pag...ROD&ProdID=188

I painted the base with Krylon Fusion paint. The stuff works great on plastics, apparently it bonds at the molecular level with it. To take off the base just pop out the dome light remove the trim and remove the screw holding the base to the roof. Have someone hold the base though otherwise it will fall down the front window.

it's an easy mod that blends well with the new antenna.

Thanks everyone for the good feedback.

BlackEuorust... I just used Krylon Fusion gloss black spray paint. I took the base off the car and taped the antenna thread stub. Do the usual pre cleaning and use very light coats. I think I used 3-4 light coats. Let them dry about 10-15 minutes between. After the last coat let the whole thing dry for about an hour. DO NOT touch it before it's dry or else the finger print will ruin the whole thing.

How do you remove the material from the firewall. That would make a huge difference. What does it do?

hope this helps.
