bumpers are different and the head and tailights and grill are dark chrome now

also added a (very close but not exact) color matched visor the other day. since you cant really tint over the dot matrix above the rearview mirror i decided to go this route. cost $10 from a vinyl shop and still had plenty left over. makes a hell of a difference and looks good too. only issue is i can't always see stop lights if i'm the first car at the light. gotta lean over too see it, lol

Aha yeah I see that. Idk I think I actually like the way it looks on mine better. Not that it matters - when FSWerks starts selling the body kit that they have on the 09 SEMA Focus its going on mine.

I like the look, but I would have gone thicker on tire choice.

Those rubber bands won't do much against even smooth roads

215(225, even)-40R18 would have a done a very sufficient job of protecting those brand new wheels.

I do like the car though.

Need to get rid of those stock wheels/tires?

yeah actually the 16's are for sale. and i would have like to have gone with thicker tires, but i had these same wheels with 225/40 on my 03 with agx dampers and progress springs and the rears rubbed all the time. hence goin slightly smaller this time. and the LR is still rubbin just a bit on big bumps. i'll prolly roll the fenders just to be safe

well a few new updates from recently. redid the visor in a metallic vinyl that matches better. laminex style film on the headlights, blue tint. Niteshade on the taillights, and did some interior painting that matched pretty well. Don't mind the mess, I'm married now lol!

Did you take the handles off to paint them? I have to do some repair work on my passenger handle and I was wondering how much of a PITA will it be? I think it is pretty straight forward.

the switch cover pops off from the front. the handle cover also pops off as well. start from the front/top. the tab at the back broke on mine if you start from that side.

the center console and dash kit were the smooth silver already which turned out smooth and almost glossy (no clear coat) the side pieces I left as is so the texture stayed with the rest of the car. draws the attention towards the shiny stuff! lol

yeah i would do a taller profile on the tires cept the back ones rub already with weight in it so I'm gonna pass on that (and I don't really want to roll the fenders if I can avoid it. The paint should be ok for a while anyway. I have it on my 03 and it took quite a while before they started to rub off. If it happens I'll just repaint it then. also the back of the handle is unpainted and since that's where i grab it it should be fine. occasionally my knee will rest on the front though. we'll see

Great wheel choice! That looks great! The blue headlight film looks really good too. Not a fan of the interior painting, but that's just me.

And I may have missed if there was a reason, but why replace the radio? I'm assuming subs, but I didn't see any mention (may have skimmed over it). I love the sync set up! however I also have a factory sub and I'm fairly happy with the bass response.

i've never been happy with the sound of any factory setup. I love the headunit I have (have had it in 3 cars) and I want the controllability and quality that it produces. I also have focal 6 1/2 in the front, kenwood 6 1/2 in the back and 2 10" alpine type E's in a ported box on a alpine MRP-M500. sounds awesome although I would still like to get a 4 chaneel amp at some point, money permitting.
