Thanks to everyone who voted, for and against me. This was certainly a close race and airforcefocus deserves a lot of credit for building a mean machine. None of this would have happened without the support of my wife. Having 4 kids, house payments, etc takes its toll, and has delayed certain parts of this machines creation, hopefully my dedication shows through.

My love for the Focus started back in 2001 when the wife and I purchased a 2001 Gold SE with an SPI motor. In its previous life it served as a rental car, and now belongs to my in-laws who love the thing to death. It still has not required any major maintenance! I did not learn about FocalJet or that car clubs even existed till early 2005. I was in the market for a second car and tried quite a few different makes/models, but ended up coming back to the Focus. My #1 reason was the room, I fit so well, those that know me know I am not a small guy. That is when I purchased my current 2005 CD Silver ST.

My current Focus has gone through an interesting life. It started its days as a daily driver with zero mods. I met up with some local people from FJ, and found out what modifying cars was all about. Woohoo! From then till now she has gone from daily driver, to full on street legal dedicated track car.

Quite a few companies played a role in bringing this car together, Ford, FocusSport/FSWerks, CFM, Massive, Tousley, LCR, HTP, F2, Cosworth, Exedy, DGE Motorsports and the list goes on. The last dyno at FocusSport/FSWerks showed 322.7WHP, and 294.4WTQ @ 20psi. We made some changes to the tune, and ran it again up here at 13psi and nailed 285WHP and 245WTQ, more adjustments for adding timing back in have been made since then. What she runs now at 20psi, I have no clue, but its fast.
