The Nominations

Each Nominee was able to send me a PM with 5 images of their car plus a list of their modifications. Voting will end on June 12th at 10:30pm

2 of the 5 finalists did not reply with information for their car so there will only be 3 cars in the voting this month.

Well, first and foremost let me just give a huge thank you to each and every person who nominated me. This means more to me than you’ll ever know, so thank you. I fell in love with the Focus back at the 2000 Pittsburgh Auto Show and got one as a surprise Christmas present in 2002 from my parents for an early high school graduation present. A little less than one year later I was driving home on a back road and hit a patch of ice which caused the car to spin out of control. I tried correcting, but a pickup truck that was tailing me too closely hit my rear bumper and caused me to go driver’s side first into a guardrail. The car then went head-first into an embankment going approximately 60MPH. I was unconscious and woke up in the ER, but the car definitely saved my life. In total I broke 17 small bones in my hand, fractured my elbow, dislocated my shoulder, and severely bruised my collarbone. To this day I have no knuckles on my left hand and my hand itself has some gnarly scars, but I’m still here. For this reason, I thought it was only right to buy another Focus for a replacement vehicle. On December 22, 2003 I took delivery of an early ’00 Malibu Blue ZX3 ATX that I intended to be just a daily driver. My how things have changed

I actually just purchased a new car and sadly will be putting Rattletrap up for sale, but she still deserves this nomination, and I’m truly honored that you guys have helped for this to happen :-D

The two nominees who did not reply were notified to send in their info at 4:26PM on Thursday and that the voting thread would be started at 10PM on Saturday.

Both of those nominees read my PM before 4:55 on Thursday but I never heard a word from either of them that they would not be able to send in information until after the voting start time. I even started the voting thread on Sunday at 10PM, a full 24 hours after the notified start date giving some extra time.

That's why there are only 3 cars in the running this month.

Fair enough. Your right I did see your PM before I left for Carlisle (Friday morning), but I was too busy working on the car to PM you back. Also didn't have a chance to snap any pics with the new wheels on. It's all good though. I understand you need it in a timely fashion for the voting. I feel honored just being nominated
