I got my new Focus as a graduation gift. I've done a few mild mods Roush CAI and some interior toys trunk L.E.D.s. Currently I have plans to lower it (1.6" eibach springs) i'd like some opinions on if I'd be happy with ride quality and look with these springs if anyone has any tips. Also I am looking at getting a carbon fiber dash kit. Anyways, without further babble here she is...
![]() ![]() This was almost immediately after I got her home. I love the look of the 17" wheels and the blackened chrome headlight taillights and grill. The roof spoiler is a nice touch, definately harkening back to a previous model. Not a huge fan of the kumho's but they are decent tires for my daily drive. ![]() ![]() Shaved the rear end first thing. No more focus or SES badging, like the clean look. Next I went with a Roush Cold Air Intake. I had not seen many other Roush CAI so I was kind of risking it. However, it turned out really nice and I enjoy the extra performance, especially the improved gas mileage. ![]() ![]() Replaced the factory trunk light with two bright blue L.E.D. strips. Does a good job to show off the factory sub and my work case right? Ha. Hope I've done a decent job so far. I like what I've done with the car. If I could get some opinions on where would be a good place to keep going with the car I would really love to hear it. Its a daily driver however I enjoy driving the twisties and experiencing a good open road.

Nice 09 coupe man. I can't wait to see what you have planned with for the paint on the front bumper.
LOOKING GOOD. BTW. Blurr or white out your licence plate. (Or photoshop it to somthing else). Last edited by wilko; 07-08-2009 at 03:10 PM. Reason: A little privacy. |

I've never understood the point in photoshopping the plate as I used to but got tired of it cause I didn't see why I needed too. But thanks for the tip! The front bumper is going to be nice I hope. Its a slight variation of an evo X or RS the paint guy said it should be, well, he liked the idea. Photoshopped something like this:

I'd leave a ring of lower silver trim around the intake, but that'd be like stock. I'd probably do it... it looks agressive, kinda like the old Audi's.
good luck -bix

I just finished my first auto cross and I must say I had a blast!
Got a lot of looks with the new focus, surprisingly several people had no idea what it was . Especially since the trunk is shaved. It was very cool to hear so many people with such a positive attitude and all car nuts to boot! This definately will not be my last event.http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/562/1003736.jpg http://img361.imageshack.us/img361/3670/1003761.jpg http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/1582/1003785v.jpg Also, for the moment I'm not painting the bumper.

Really liking the new Focus's. I am thinking about trading my 06 on one, but I have the ST and have really enjoyed the hell out of it.
Not to mention in 2 years it is paid off......long finish line still, but closest I have been in same time on paying anything off, lol! |

Thank ya very much. I'm currently working on upgrading the factory sub/amp it's all wired right except getting sound to errupt from the sub. The amp is powered and I can test everything to work. I could really use a wiring diagram for the factory sub as I'm assuming things at the moment (and we all know what assuming does). I got the remote wire right (which I'm using) and I know which two are the power and ground (not using them) and I thought it would leave me w/ the two speaker wires, which I am running through a cheapo lo/hi impedance adapter (which I'm begining to think is the problem). Just for a sneak peak here is some work in progress stuff with a test fit of the amp rack(thats the green striped thing):

Apparently I made it on to the wiki for the 2009 model year focus (second one down on the left, silver showing the back end) I know it's a free and editable, but it was kind of cool seeing someone used my picture...however they could have at least told me

I bought myself the steeda short throw for christmas and I absolutely love it. My girlfriend got me a mini-sombrero as a joke and I thought it looked rather snazzy sitting on my ball so I snapped a quick pic
![]() I mostly just wanted to recommend this mod! While I know the performance itself isn't improved (or if my shifts are faster it's only by mere fractions of seconds), the fun-to-driveability is ten fold!
