Hey so im a frequent poster on FocusFanatics but due to it being down for the past like...5 days and me being excited about all my new mods, im going to post the thread here...and then when FF decides to stop being dumb repost it there.
enjoy and make any comment u wish. I bought my car when i was 17. It was totaled and then rebuilt by non other than Dan (autos by dan) himself. 73k and 4500 bucks. I got to work imediatly doing really crappy painting. ![]() ![]() then i added these sweet 9.99 pedals from miejer!! ![]() Then i even made this SWEET custom sub-box, and mounted 4in speakers in them! totally awesome! ![]() since the white was on the inside, i figured the whole thing had to match so i just HAD to do this sweet wiper paint job and thus my first mod was complete. I bought those 10 dollar dual blade wipers at autozone. ![]() after the blades, i wanted to really spruce things up and make my car awesome. SO i found this amazing bodykit on craigslist for only 20$! Needless to say i had to buy it an sexify my car even more. .and now i know your wondering does he seriously think this is cool? And the answer is i did....when i had no idea about modding. It only got worst. Then came White calipers and drums, then a white sticker on the side, and even....a monte carlo white stripe. my first exterior paint mod. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now is the time that i met Focusfanatics. It was the summer of my 17th and i was eager to show off my ride. The response was HORRIBLE. About the only good thing i did do around this time was that i tinted my heads and tails ![]() after i met the guys i cant member the way everything went. I belive it was crappy engine mods like 10$ intakes, wire loom then more painting, a bigger TB...and then a 4-1 longtube header! ![]() ![]() ![]() it was right about this time before i put this in my car ![]() ![]() that brad (Klodkrawler) and matt (svteruo88) and Jeff (wagamos) stepped in to stop the madness. I purhcased a Used MBRP after about 6 months of having the header, i purchased a SR intake and a few other goodies like more paint lol. for christmas my dad bought me projectors i wanted forever and with the rest of my christmas money i bought speedhut white faced gauge face .i waited till january to get the headlights on, and i was also convinced to sell the gaudy front bumper and put my stock one back on. The result-fogged up lenses cuz thats the prob with all thos lights. ![]() fixed that and then finally....finally! A kid that i had been tlaking to forever about some suspension he had laying in his garage told me i could by his suspension for 250$. Apparently he didnt no what he had, and was stupid enough to do it, sold me his entire kyb agx suspension kit with 2 inch intrax drop springs for 250$, also picked up an svt lip last spring (time progressed quickly eh?) and my car started to really come around. ![]() that front bumper did wonders to the car. Klodkralwer also went in with m halfsies on a ton of goodies, which i got a wing and and entire 08 leather two tone interior ![]() . i wanted white 5 spokes.ever since someone photoshopped my car like this way back when ![]() So while i saved for wheels i did random little stuff again, mostly under the hood. Replaced the CAI with that SR finally and got a contour valve cover, just random things here and there Now i did not like the fact that the white stripe only went halfway around the car, so i started toying with some ideas. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() my girlfreind convinced me to stay with the white stripe. (i know right?) and i through Matts Euro wheels on just for kicks to see what it would look like. ![]() pure sex! so after that, i knew what i was saving for wheels. a pair came up on criags list and i got them on the cheap. I also went down to a meet in Ohio called Quaker Shake. I loved some of the cars down there, and the COSWAGON (Arty) was down there with a euro lip kit. What a perfect way to rid myself of that stupid white stripe, just cover it! So i picked up the euro kit from Arty. ![]() ![]() so now, i slapped the 5 spokes on there, but didnt have money to paint the kit yet so it sat awhile.![]() . While sitting and saving for paint, i did more stuff under the hood. Went to an SVT intake, got Toms Tune (aggresive shifting and what not) and did a little customer job on my battery cover and fuse cover with some mirrors. Also a mild wire tuck because i was bored. . Now it sat like that, no more mods for about 2 months. I finally got enough money to get the kit painted about 2 weeks ago. It was a really good job done very affordably by a neighbor who does paint professionally. Also around this time Klodkrawler talked to me about powdercoating and told me hed do my rims on the cheap for testing pourposes. Now whats weird is that i always wanted white, but if u go back to the picture with the euros, the sun reflects just right and made me think....damn my car would look hot with bronze rims. With a few flops me and brad got my wheels done about 3 nights ago, same night my kit got done being painted. These pictures are from a meet today. Focus In The Feild. They are the only photos taken of my car in the last 3 months because i wanted it all to be a surprise. I now believe i have a head turner and a show car. I love it to death and i cant believe the changes i have made since i started. I receive a trophy for third place in best of show sedan class out of about 10 sedans. what a feat for a car that was doomed with RICE from the very begining. I know theres now a ton of pictures here, but i figure i can update tomarrow with my car and see what u all say. This is what i have now. ![]() ![]() ![]() thank you all. looks sweet, just not a fan of the wheel colour (love the wheels though). i like seeing white wheels on red, or maybe in your case black on red considering all the tint...... but thats just me!

Well, this:
![]() Is a happy ending. I'd paint the door handles and rear chrome strip... otherwise cosmetically it has come a long way!

Man the madness you started out with.................mindboggling!
Then end result is amazing though. I would like others mentioned, paint the handles, lose the chrome strip on the back and I would suggest tinting the windows and IMO not a fan of the sticker on the side. Besides that, looks like it has indeed came a long way. |

Billy,
That car has made a huge transformation. I actually liked the way it looked. Just a few more simple mods and you'll be good to go.

I'm not feeling the wheel color... something about it just isn't right to me. It's like it's not bronze and it's not gold. Just my opinion.
Love everything else, though... the Ford Racing kit looks perfect with that stance.

You've progressed and cleaned up the car very nice, bro!
I've always preferred nice cleanly modded cars to the flashier body kits. I did however, really like the iteration of your car that included the white lip, wheels and skirts. That looked very sharp to me. Keep us posted on anything else that comes up!

Wow Bill!
I cant believe how much your c-dan has changed so drastically! I still remember the first time I saw your car my reaction was "i'm going to pretend I dont know him" I'm glad you saw the light! like everybody has been saying paint the door handles and trunk trim (and shave the rear badges) and you'll be looking fly! and you forgot the pics to show why your wheels have that odd hue in the pictures ![]() all the red flake!

Maybe I'm just a dork but I liked the white on the sides at the bottom. I thought that looked cool with the white wheels & front bumper.

THanks for all the suggestions guys. IM tinting all the windows next. Prolly going 5% in the back and 20 on the front. The trim on the back....
IM not sure if i want to do it black, or match the wheel color....that would be the only thing thats the wheel color though. If someone could photoshop that first picture like that, that would be great. THe wheels are Copper....does that explain alot? There not Bronze, they not gold, theyre the color of a new shiny penny. And then they have Red metal flake in them. WHen they hit the sun....ohhh boy is it sexy stuff. I still have alot to do under the hood. Im looking at a zex kit for next month with the mnoney back from a student loan. prolly a 50 wet shot. Looking at getting some cams and gears too. Currently as it sits, Its got the 4-1 header with delted cat and egr, mbrp 2.5 catback, 65mm TB, SVT intake, and Toms Tune. Just got word that a buddy of mine can do an Intake manifold swap in under an hour...so thats nice too. haha. so many plans so little money! -PS- im always taking donations haha.
