In Canada we have a chain of stores called "Canadian Tire" and I know they sell a kit designed to make single speed front wipers on older cars variable speed. I'm sure if you checked at a parts store like Pep Boys you could find something similar. It is a rotating knob and a small under the dash mounting plate.

not to sound rude or anything but why do you want it to go faster? i mean, mine gets the job done. do you have some type of spoiler on the hatch? a spoiler up there would help divert air and water away from the back glass and you wouldn't need to use the wiper very much at all in the rain. just an idea. good luck. i dont know about anyone else but i use the rear wiper all the time. When it rains out and your driving it gets alot of use. Its just it gos slooow, being able to adjust the speed just a little would be a little easier than maually putting the wiper on.
Just curious if anyone has done anything.............thats all. and BTW i have an aluminum wing on my hatch and it doesnt change how wet the window gets at all!! |

yeah but a wing sits above the the roof of the car and actually will do very little for the flow over the shape of our cars. if you had a one that stuck off like a lip, I think maybe like the rs, or svt, it would help. for example like the automated spoiler on a turbo beetle.
