Default It\'s got 1400 miles only...Should I be less aggresive ?

I need your opinion here. I have an auto ZX3, and I used to drive less than 60mph, but since it has 900 miles until now, I can't help my right foot to floor it. I mean, I like to hear the sound of 6000rpm !!

Is it a bad habit ? When can I start driving my car hard ? As far as mod, I have only Apex cat back exhaust. I'm thinking of Volant intake, UDP, and Diablo chip. Should I wait for more miles to upgrade my car ?

Thank you,

Aaah, I know that feeling. I don't think that flooring the car is bad. I did quite a bit when my car was around 1500 miles. I wouldn't recommend full throttle starts till at least 3000 miles. Just my opinion.

How do you like that Apexi cat back? Noise? Power gains? I'm thinking about getting it too.

I don't see why you would need to wait till you upgrade the car. I have the same mods planned for my car. I'm just waiting for more $.
I put a Diablo chip in mine at about 1600 mi. It makes a lot of diffrence on an ATX focus.

Thanks for everyone for posting. APex-i exhaust is quiter than borla. It's got the deep rumble, but nothing significant to make you unable to listen to your music.

As far as break in the engine period, don't you guys agree that you notice mileage improvement after the break in period has finished ?
Oh well, I can't wait that long. Better save money for future mods and by that time may be I have 10000 miles.

Thanks for the Apexi input.

I saw consistent milage increases till about 4000 miles. It has pretty much settled at (average) 25-26 in town and 27-30 highway.

I also noticed a 1-2 MPG gain after I installed the Diablo chip.

auto_focus...I forgot to mention. I got my apex-i from www.rollhard.com for $359 plus S/H $41
Not bad at all !! The best deal ever for Apex !!

But I heard the best mod for bucks would be diablo chip...but I can;t stand the stock focus muffler so I decided to get a cat back first..

later,

the focus does not require "break in" driveing... so when ya take it off the car lot... hammer down man...
