Default Is this a fuel pump issue ?

Ok, my zx-3 isn't 2K miles yet but starting has some problems. Sometimes it won't start the first time, or it starts but dies off right away.
ALso, If I maintain 30 m/h speed, in 2nd gear the car feels hesitated to run. The RPM is going up and down a bit together with the sound of the engine. Once I step on the gas more and gear shifts to 3rd, it's running smooth again.

Man, I'm a scared now. Any info. guys ? I know I should bring it to Ford, but I want to know your opinion first in case the service advisor wants to bluff.

thanks a lot !

Hey man I think u have the same problem I have. I have 7200 miles on my ZTS. When I accerlreate it picks up fine, but as I run it at asteady speed it begins to jerk badly. My car also cuts off at times if i accelerate to fast. I had to take it to the shop which took them 8 long hours to begin working on my car. I had to call them to find out what the problem was. It was the EGR Sensor. This regulates gas and air pressure in your car. They need to replace it. Get it taken in. A lot of focus owners are having this problem. I know your frustration man I am pretty upset at this because its a brand new car. This sensor they have to get is on back order for a month. I told them what am i suppose to with no car, because I'm a college student. They wouldn't do anything. Called my dad he called to the dealership . Dad called me back and they will have a rental car waiting for me. My dad must of said something to get them to budge. Well its a hassel to get things done at a Ford Delership and I hate it. I have been have too many problems with my car. This is the 2nd time at the dealership. Another thing too. Do you hear a squeaky noise when u accerlerate or go over a bump. If u do its your subframe that holds part of your transmission in place. This will be the 2nd time they will be trying to fix mine no luck yet. Well good luck dude. Never buying a ford again. The squeking noise, hmm. Yup, I just realized I heard it many times hen I hit some bumps.
I'm kinda happy with the car sometimes, but having some weird issues, including the brake...man, I guess this can be my last ford.
Seriously, If I'd have known this I'd have bought a diff. car.

But, dealership issue really depends on itself, I mean I'm sure some ppl here have good experience with Ford Dealers and some don't. I hope my experience with Ford won't end up bitter.

Good luck for your ZTS dude, don't abuse your rental car too much.
