assuming they are in the same spots as the zx2. this is a mtx also. don't know about the autos. the front mount is located on the tranny by the back of the radiator. the rear mount is located on the back of the tranny by the midbrace. both are black in color & circular.

I've notice a pretty good thunk as I take off in 1st gear and then another clunk as I shift into 2nd. It kind of sounds like a RWD car with old U joints. I'm guessing it's the engine moving around too much. So I want to try replacing my motor mounts with polyurethane. Does anyone know how many mount points there are and where they are?

I'm going to move this over to Team Tech where you might get more replies than you did here.

There are 2 mounts and one one isolator.
There is the front mount, it mounts the front, belt side, of the engine to the passenger side of the engine compartment. The rear mount, bolts to the top of the trans and mounts the trans to the driver's side of the engine compartment. The isolator mounts under the car, from the trans to the subframe, this is the only part I have seen the aftermarket make poly mounts for. |
