Default Fuse box problem

I was trying to pull fuse 18 without disconnecting my battery and as i was pulling it out with a pair or pliers it sparked. I inspected the fuse and it was fine, so i put it back in place. I tried to start the car but it wont turn over at all and my odometer isn't functioning ethier. Switched the fuse and same result. Radio, lights, gas meter etc... All seem to be working?.

Anyone who knows electrical tell me what the hell i've done?.

do the obvious and just check all related fuses. trust me ive over looked the small stuff. otherwise i personally dont know. did you unhook the battery and let it sit for a while? it may work.

I checked the surrounding fuses and they seemed fine. I disconnected the battery while i was checking the other fuses, reconnected and nothing?.

if the bettery was unhooked then the fuses wont test properly. i dont think. could be wrong. how did you test them? visual or test light? ive had fuses go bad ut not blow. so it looks like a good fuse. i suggest a test light. IMO of course

At this time you can do two things, fist...

look for F9 and see if you have +12V with the ignition key turn in to "on" position. if you have +12V at that fuse you are in luck. step 2

with the key in "off" position pull out your diode V33 check for voltage. voltage should pass only in one direction marked on the diode itself. step 3

something even quicker...

check the power hold relay R8 and if you don't now how to check it swap it with something else for example high beam relay R5, and see if you can start your car. But before you even pull them out take your keys out of ignition.

I honestly bet your PCM is done. That is the heated o2 sensor circuit fuse. You obviously had the key in the ignition and in the on position when the fuse was pulled. Let me know what you find out, but I bet the computer is done.

I checked over again and found that the ignition fuse #8 was no good. Replaced and now running.

Unnecesary headaches
