Metacafe is blocked at work, but there are tons of headlight cleaning threads in the Detail section!

yep. thats pretty much how its done. I caution you though, use a polisher NOT an angle grinder with polish wheel. I tried that this weekend and ****ED my headlight up. thank god I have an extra set.

If you burn the lense, all you have to do is sand it all back down and rebuff it....but if you're new to headlamp polishing, it can be a hard job to correct.

i think it should work, but only if the damage is on the outside. in some cases its going to be in the inside. for most people how cracked open there lights in the past or its just the headlight seal failure, the damage is in the inside with all the moisture and what not. most of the time to anyone its going to be on the outside.

by looking at this video id say skip the part were the guy sprays that stuff to clean up the headlight after buffering. if you notice in the video, the headlight gets cloudier after that cleaner was used. i would use simple soap and water.

if this were me, i would buy a replacement lense or something and swap it out since in the future, you have to do the cleaning process over and over as time goes on.

I wanted to jump in the video, slap him and put another piece of tape on under the headlight.
