Default 2000 Focus SE TPS

Hello all,

I'm new, first time on this forum.

I got the check engine light warning. So I purchased the ODBII device that hooks up to my laptop.

I get these two codes

P0122 and P1120

Both I think have something to do with Throttle Position Sensor.

Where can I buy a TPS, how much does it cost, where is it located on the car, and is it easy to replace?

The car runs normal, it stalled on me once, I don't drive it very often, but would like to fix this is it's a problem of course.

I have reset the light, but it has come back, not quick after maybe a few weeks or longer.

Thak you very much for your help.

yeah. TPS is fooked.

PM member - FORDSVTPARTS. He can get you the part at a good price.

the part itself is easy to change. Its held onto the side of the throttlebody by 2 screws. make sure to get the throtte plate edge in the groove on the new sensor and then secure it with the screws.

Good luck getting the screws out, mine had some kind of locktite on them and I ended up grinding them and a good portion of the TPS itself away to get them out.

Hi Jimmy.

So you were abble to get just the TPS for your thoutlle body? Some say that you can only get the TPS with the entire TB.

Please let me know where I can get just the TPS for my 2000 focus automatic.

Thank you very much.
