Default no start situation, battery light on..charged battery

I finally got the car to start, fixed the transmission llinkage clip and drove to the store down the street Brought the car back to where i was working on it and tried to start it up again, nothing. Pulled the starter and one of the two nuts holding on that clip wiggled off..dk how. Anyways i put the starter back on and the car cranks fine again. However no i get no spark...same place i was at last week. Before my problem was a bad engine ground. However, the engine ground now is in the correct location. Bought a new crank sensor, still nothing. I have new plugs and wires as well. I can hear the pump turn on and smell the gas. What i do notice is the battery light coming on when i crank the car over. Its very odd to me that i drove the car about 2 miles, started it up 3 times and then nothing only 30 minutes later. I also cleaned the leads, tried jumping the battery like normal and then again with the neg on the engine to help ground it out. Nothing.

Any help is great, going on my 4th week without a car

also, i do get power to the coil. I noticed that when i pulled the starter off the car the wire that grounds the starter to the solenoid..was corroded a little. Would that cause a no spark situation even though the starter is cranking and doing its job?

Well that would cause the car not to start. ... Also you said the Alternator nuts wiggled off ... Had bad are they? Because if the Alternator is wiggling in there it probably damaged the connection bolt that goes to the battery negative cable ... and might have also damaged the cable it self. Hence no power circulation. The car can crank and run off a fully charge Battery or Alternator for about 30 minutes or so ( I know it happened to me) but then it will die if there is not a good connection between the battery and the alternator.

Things to go wrong in this case are the
1) Battery
2) Alternator
3) Starter
4) Solenoid
5) Negative Cable
6) Ground wires

I have noticed there are alot of people on the thread that are having the same problem ... But those above are what I would check.

Good luck to you sir.

ok thanks i will check those areas for a potential problem. Also i'm not throwing any codes on the code reader but i am getting a code on the odometer. I understand that they are vague codes and not accurate but i do get a dtc that is d262. I removed the glovebox a while ago to get at the ecu, i also have a ton of tools in the front seat, maybe it knocked a connection loose..idk i'll check that out

Which engine? Duratech or not?

If it has plug wires pull one off, get it close to a ground with a screwdriver run inside the boot, and have someone crank it. That'll tell you if you have spark or not.

zetec, yea did that, no spark at all. Even pulled all plugs and sprayed starting fluid. Nothing. I am getting 12v to the coil on the front of the coil and all my wires and such are new
