I recently replaced my IAC valve because my old one was rusted out bad, which was causing vibration during idling. I purchased a Bwd engine management technology brand IAC from Advanced Auto Parts and it was significantly larger than the original. Now during startup and idling, my intake is sucking a ton of air in. Idle is fine now, but I am getting a LOUD tone coming out of the intake box. It only did that when i switched it out... The original was smaller in size, and had the electrical connector coming straight out. The new one is larger in size by a bit, and has a right angle connector coming out. Even the insides of the IAC is different looking. They say it's made for the DOHC. I am slightly worried still.
Has anyone changed out their IAC valve and noticed this? Does anyone have any knowledge that could help me out? I want to put a short ram intake in, but it's annoyingly loud with the stock airbox at just idle. When accelerating the sound goes away, because the IAC is closed during that time. Please help.
Ok, may some of you read this post before, it was orginally posted by jazzbali, i copied and pasted it again, hoping somebody can help me out. in advanced thanks for all your help.

I'm thinking something hasn't been hooked back up properly after the switch, maybe the crank vent hose...
