Default Help with Fuses

06 ZX3

I added an additional 12v power source by crimping it to the existing one in order to place it in my glove box. It worked for a day and then a fuse blew. Can someone help explain this and how to prevent it from happening again?

Thanks.

Hard to tell, but where you using both at the same time? What was plugged in when the fuse blew?

Not using both at same time. Just the new auxiliary source. I had my Garmin charging while in my glovebox.
