Have you gone and had your car scanned for whatever codes that might be causing the check engine light to flash?

A Ford dealership and most chain/independent shop should be able to read the codes. A dealership and a good shop would then take those code(s) and find out what's wrong.
*Okay..I just realized that you're probably posting about your car that you're trying to rebuild after a collision. Is there any chance you knocked something loose or broke something during your repairs? Given what you're doing so far, maybe you can pick up a code scanner (or justify getting something like an SCT Tuner Module that has a code scanning ability) and start to read codes as to what could be wrong. I know that with the air bag module, if something is wrong then the air bag light will flash a few times, and in a set sequence. I'm really wondering now is if some wires aren't crossed and/or something else got damaged during your repair.

We checked everything, and replaced all of the broken parts. I think that the check engine light is on because it was time for an oil change?
The air bags, and module, and belts have been replaced, so im confused on why its still on. |

Semir, do this little trick, before turning the key to the ON position, press and hold the trip reset button. while holding it, turn the key to on. this will change the trip and odometer display and will tell you your DTC codes. that way you wont have to start the car (if its not able or unsafe too) to get the codes. you can report back here with the codes and we can help

The check engine light for a Focus is NOT a service maintenance indicator i.e. it's not something to tell you an oil change or filter change is needed. If it's ON, then something is not working right (well, at least the car thinks it's not working right). It can be a major system that's not working right OR it could be as silly as a sensor that's not plugged in all the way (so the computer is reading that something is wrong).
cjmartiny's trick MAY work; however, my understanding of the odometer DTC code trick is that it doesn't pick all the DTC codes fired off by the car's computer. You do have the 2.0L Duratec engine, right?

Write the codes down and post them! That's going to be the only way we can all see what's happening with your car.

Dang right that's a lot of codes. Everything up to the DTC appears "normal" from what's on FocusHacks. It's the rest of the stuff that really has me confused.
I can only assume some are Duratec-only codes. If anyone who has a Duratec can chime in on using the odometer diagnostic tool, PLEASE do so. I know you generated lots of interest with your rebuild thread. Since you're in the Michigan area, maybe it's time to take up some offers and ask anyone in the area to drop by with a code scanner?

The guy told me that he cant find out whats going on with the check engine light. He told me that his code reader wouldn't read my computer because it was not connected to the engine wire. I think that his reader couldnt read it, because it was too old..haha
Oh well. Btw, Focus126, the battery voltage goes up when the car is running, so its good. |

Code scanners connect through the OBD-II port that's right by the inside fuse access panel. There shouldn't be a need for an engine wire, unless it's another type of code reader that I'm not familar with... All OBD-II scanners haven't changed within the last few years. Age shouldn't have anything to do with it -- if I recall, all OBD-II computers haven't changed in a while, and all are supposed to generate standard codes.
