Default Trans Goes Bang! slips Help

Yesterday i down shifted pretty hard and about ten mins later there was random bangs coming from the driver side ... it only seems to do it during slow speeds and slower turns .... i broke apart the tranny and got some fluid and it def has metalic flakes in it ...... hopefully i can pull it apart and get some metal out ... any one have a 5 spd trans around the philly area thx

maybe busted tranny mount, or bad bushings.

i had to drive it a couple times since then and it got worse on the way home from work it wouldnt stop bucking and finally no gears ... i was gonna find a trans locally but couldnt .. shop say i need new trans and clutch < which i fixed 10k miles ago sux

Forget a "new trans and clutch". Just buy 'em both used.

It sounds like it might just be the diff gears. Take it apart and look for the damage, you can replace the diff parts allot cheaper than a whole trans.
