if so how'd you replace em? I took off my wheel and caliper so maybe I can bang them out but they seem to be in there pretty good...is there a certain technique on doing this? I checked my chiltons and it doesn't show anything on how to do this in case they snap off...
any help would be greatly appreciated

Just beat the hell out of it to get it out then to get it in the RIGHT way go to checkers and ask for a install tool or put the new one in the hole then get something to take up a little space then use the lug nut to pull it up tight in to the hole.

I broke off a stud tip a few days ago, but I just replaced the lugnut.

three of them broke off and and I was able to pound out two of em, but one is being stubborn...anybody use any certain thing to help push it through? I've used a small chisel and a screw driver on the other two, but on this last one it really seems to be wedged in there....any other suggestions?
and did you all you take off the hub to pull them back through?

There's really no technique. You just need to apply enough force to pop them out. I used a punch and a small 5lb sledgehammer to whack the broken studs out. Using a sledgehammer with some weight to it (as opposed to a ball peen or carpenters hammer) will really help a lot.
When I replaced mine, I decided to replace all of them since I'd overtightened my lug nuts a few times and all the lugs had a small amount of necking. I didn't need to remove the hub, I would just rotate the hub on the axle until the back of each stud was clear of the brake caliper and whack them out. When I put the new ones in they seated fairly well and I just tightened the lug nuts as usual, drove around the block a few times, then re-checked the torque on the nuts to make sure they were OK.
