Default Rough idle

01 focus se zetec 5spd. Car has a rough idle, sits there and putters and sometimes the lights will surge like the car is going to die but it doesnt, it does this when it idles around 800rpm's.

It threw codes p0193,p0190. The runs just fine under load, its just when its at low idle that it sits their and putters. I havent tested the fuel pressure yet, but i did take out the IAC and clean it, and it does the same thing. Could it be the fuel rail sensor???? Does that sensor go into the end of the fuel rail? its not the ufo looking thing on top of the engine? Anyone have any ideas.

Default Re: Rough idle

there's a bit of discussion on here about weird idles
codes 193 is abnormal fuel pressure, 190 is weak signal from sensor (from what ive looked up).

check the sensor and connections first, then look into the pressure issue
