Hey I have stock 15"s and I am looking to get a lower profile high performance tire. What do you all suggest I get. I plan on lowering my car so it should not look to bad.

If you're going to do a lower profile tire on your 15's, you should lower it alot so that is doesn't look "weird." you could do a like a 195/50/15 or a 205/50/15, but you'll need to drop your car like 3 inches to take up the huge gap.

Hey man.......that doesnt look bad at all......I want to go this route also.....someone on here said going with a 50 series profile they knocked .2 off of their quarter mile time!!! How is your gas mileage?? Accelerate any faster? What brand tires?? And why did u stay with 195's, why not 205's??

They're the 'goodwrich Euro TAs. I got a deal from my homie 2 for $50 so I only needed to gt two of them in the store which went for like $65/$70 a peice. I dont know about quarter times although its possible they'll let u accelarate a tad quicker because the wheels dont have to turn quite as much. 205z'll probably fit the stocks although like i said i got a hookup so thats why i'm with what i'm with
(if I dont make sense its from the Sky Blue, you're right david they're bomband i'm a light weight=) |

So is the ride good?
Do you have lowering springs? Dunlop SP9000's are cheap in 195/50 from Tirerack right now. They don't sell them for Focus's though. They think somebody might crash and die with this size of tire I guess... (liability issues...IMO) See this thread: http://www.teamfocaljet.com/cgi-bin/...c&f=4&t=002933 [ 06-20-2002: Message edited by: S. on Da 5 ]</p> |
