Default Bridgestone Potenza RE730 | Anyone have them?

I've come across a really good deal for a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE730's in a size of 215/45R17. According to customers over at TireRack.com that have purchased these shoes, these are pretty good.

Here's what they had to say.

Any of you Focus owners have a set of these? If so, how do you like them?

Thanks in advance.

If I order from tirerack, these are the tires I'm getting!! Great tread design, awesome wear rating, and good performance. I little pricer than the Kumho's, but the numbers show it to be better.

I have talked to several people that own them. By all accounts, they are a great tire! They've autocrossed on them with good results aswell. I am looking at these to purchace myself, although they are a little pricey. Like the saying goes, you get what you pay for though.

So far I'm liking what I am hearing. Looks like I'll be picking up a set of these this weekend. Now if only I could decide on a set of wheels....

Do it. I run Potenza 930s on my truck, and have used 730s on a 3-series BMW. They are very good tires, and are worth the extra $$.

the new 950's are more of an all season tire. it only has an H speed rating. i have the 730's on my stock 15's and i love them, i get wheelspin only when i want to.

I have the Potenza RE730 GEN II's on and all I can say is "kick butt investment". The first thing you notice is how smooth the ride is, all the way up to 100MPH, no noise, no vibration. And they stick, hard. Acceleration in every gear has improved throughout the powerband. You would be extremely hard pressed to find a better tire in this price range ($108 Ea). My car does not feel like an econo-box anymore. I have driven on both the stock RSA's and Firehawk's and there is absolutely no comparison to the RE730. First Auto-X is ths weekend so I'll report on how they do there.

Doesn't look like there is much interest here but I did state I'd review their Auto-X performance. They stick hard in the corners and when they did release it was a very controlled, easily correctable slip. The bad part is the outer lugs do not hold up well to lost traction situations. The tires handled very well with 41/38 F&R however I would probably drop it to 38/36 F&R. It was a mad hot day, something like 95 degrees. I love the tires for the street (intended application) however will not be Auto-x'ing them again due to cost. I'll shred up the stockers this season until I get some Azenis.
