Default Motul brake fluid .......

www.motiveproducts.com has Motul DOT 3 and 4 brake fluid and other brands of lubrication.

There main item is an Automatic brake bleeder for $44.95...Now you wont need a second person to bleed your brakes..

Under their application chart, the Focus is not listed. All Fords with metal resevoirs are listed as a suitable application, however.

Anyone care to comment on which brake fluid would be good for lapping? I have my power bleeder, but I need to decide on a good fluid to use first.
In the meantime, off to search I go cuz I know someone's mentioned this before.

I always use ATE super blue and gold fluid.
the MOTUL racing 600 is supposed to be very good but I have never used the stuff. the thing you want to look at is the wet boiling point.

Fluid DRY WET
Castrol LMA DOT 3/4 446 311
Ford Heavy Duty DOT 3 550 290
ATE Super Blue Racing 536 392
ATE TYP 200 536 392
Motul Racing 600 585 421
Castrol SRF 590 518
Performance Friction 550 284

the castrol SRF is the best (used in Indy cars!) but cost about $70 a liter

the formatting on my last post is totally screwed, there are supposed to be 2 collums with dry and wet #'s.
Fluid--------------------DRY----WET
Castrol LMA DOT 3/4-----446----311
Ford Heavy Duty DOT 3----550----290
ATE Super Blue Racing----536----392
ATE TYP 200--------------536----392
Motul Racing 600---------585----421
Castrol SRF--------------590----518
Performance Friction-----550----284

ok hopefully that makes it a bit easier to read
