Default Double Parada flats from ONE BIG CHUCKHOLE

While driving on some little but paved side streets in downtown Seattle in the industrial section near 1st ave (for those that want to know the side street was across from Avery's on 2930 S. 1st Street near a fabric store due west of Avery's) - and doing about maybe 5 to 8mph, at night, I hit one very nasty deeper then hell chuckhole with both right side tires which took out both Paradas BUT thankfully not damaging my TSW Hockenheim-R 16" wheels. Got a tow truck (ABC Towing) a few blocks down the street to bring me a flatbed to pick me up in 15 minutes (it happened about 5pm) to then take me down to Discount Tire in Burien near where I live where we made it before 6pm to have, get this - they had them in stock, them put on two new Paradas, inspect the wheels - no damage there, do a high speed spin balance on all the tires - and because of replacement warranties and road hazard warranties I paid just $51 - actually the cost of free replacement on the new set of tires for the next time. Way to go Discount Tire of Burien (and of Spokane where I started with my first set of Paradas) and to ABC Towing for their quick response and to TSW for fab wheels guys!!!!! Original set of Paradas purchased about March 2001 timeframe. Wear on the two tires not affected by hole are to point where the little circles on the tread is nearly gone, and on the new ones of course fresh - I can see these babies lasting me a bit of a long time.

Just wanted to get this to all of you to let you know the strength/reliability of the TSW's in such a situation and of the event as a whole.

I have 16x7.5 TSW Hockenheim-R wheels with Yokohama Parada tires 205/45/16. Their great tires and a good combination. I saved a lot over 17" tires.

The one issue I still need to resolve however is if I should get a 16" spare tire from a 2002. Will it fit the spare tire hole in the trunk? Anyone know?

Anyway, the Paradas are awesome tires. A little on the noisy side once they wear down a bit after a few months, but all in all I don't think I would trade them for anything else. They are fine on wet as long as you are not ripping away from a white line at a stop. If you are they slip on the white paint. On dry they are nothing short of flying. Simply awesome on turns unless you are in the mud where you can really peel out with mud splattering all over the place and you sliding all over the place.

And for some of you that may not know - the North Viking Wing really makes a difference for driving on those winding roads. The car whips around like it's a bobsled.
