HRE 3 Piece 19x7.5 Style 547 Rims. I'm not sure what the production plans are for these rims.
The tires are Toyo Proxies T1S 235/35/19 tires. ![]() |

Those would look sweet w/ the center powdercoated black on a Liquid Grey car.

Got a reply from HRE and that price of 1148 is per wheel. Damn way out of my league.

Those are HREs. Unless they are copies. South County Autosports has the same set of 19s on their Focus. They have been running them for almost 2 yrs. They are forged and they will build them to your specs ( width, offset, etc)..
Kinesis wheels are even nicer, and they will custom build wheels for you as well. check it out here http://www.kinesismotorsport.com/ [ 12-11-2001: Message edited by: socalfoci ]
|

Here's an old photo of the SCA Focus. It has since been repainted and was featured in the Momo booth at SEMA. The HRE wheels seen here are much nicer IMO than the momo wheels they have on there now.

Was in a local shop browsing the catalogs and came across these....
![]() None of the guys had ever dealt or inquired about the HRE wheels so they didn't have an idea of price. One called the distributor and during the conversation, I heard him say "$1000 for the set?" Immediately his eyes bugged and I thought he was going to pass out. The rep had just told him $1k per wheel. We had a good laugh about it afterwards. |

You know what...Its plain stupid to sell wheels for that price! God, even the best motorsport wheels in the world dont cost that much (speedline, compmotive, OZ, teamdynamics, etc). I guess its sort of like buying Armani - a waste of money?

Any offset, lug pattern, width, they are forged, Three piece, and use things like Titanium bolts, etc...The Porsche guys love HRE... I think because they are so expensive LOL. Ha Ha, my wheels are more expensive than yours.. Like I said Check the link forKenisis Wheels that I mentioned earlier. A little less money, but WAY cooler... Oh, and by the way, The SCA cars Wheels rubbed really bad, when I saw it... 19"s I think are just too big. Look cool, just too big. [ 12-13-2001: Message edited by: socalfoci ]
|

I was at my local tuner shop when this guy droped by w/his 1 month old 02'BMW 5 series.
DAMN!! 19"HRE Mesh three piece w/ MAD LIP!! so beatifully polished I could see myself in them, The car had H&R coilovers, was pitch black and bad ASS! AC shnitezer grills, you know the works! I asked if he had paid about $3500.00 for them, He laughed and said NO $6500.00!!! IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY WHY NOT? But I could not see the point of puting these on a ZX3; their half the cost of our cars! By the way this guy was like 4' tall,in his 50's,big ass gut, open shirt, hairy as hell(except for his head)and was wearing enough gold to shame Mr.T, oh yeah you should have seen the girl he was w/ some 20 year old victoria secret model!! I bet you he gets alot more booty than all of us combined. |

Well my brother worked at Discount Tire for 2 years and he says this...
The 10 sets or so of HRE wheels he installed were lighter and stronger with there 3-piece wheel designs than most companies. On top of that they are breath taking if you have seen in person. And yes almost all HRE are $1000+ a piece for most models. Roush Racing brought three Mustangs(some sort of race cars, had racing damage on them) and had HRE wheels installed. In my opinion they are top notch wheels if you can afford them. |

I think the HRE wheels are custom made for each application, meaning you can't go to a local tire store and buy them off the shelf. Have you guys ever seen the wheels Kenesis makes? They are the bomb! the centers are magnesium (graphite colored) with a polished lip. A buddy of mine had those on his black GTI and they were sweeeeet!
