Default SVT Tire question, Will going from 45 to 50 be ok?

I am curious if this will cause any sort of rubbing by increasing the height of the wheel, Curious if anyone knows?

My reasning is because I just put an RS bumper on and its sitting rather low and it can scrap, and a solution would be to increase the sidewall to raise the height(and it will throw off teh speedo a little too).

Anyone who knows I would greatly appreciate your time.

You will probably rub.

You would be going from a tire with a 24.6" diameter to a 25.5" diameter. Of coure, I bet you could think of it similar to lowering your car an inch as far as clearances are concerned.

But since that tire is 1" in diameter bigger, that will only get you about 1/2" more ride height. I don't think it would be worth it.

Might not be worth the overall effective gearing change (the car will not accelerate as crisply) for the very minor increase in ride height.

Im trying to figure out how to keep from ruining the bumper, i thought maybe a skidplate, but I have not been able to find one...(i cant really add a lip because its already low enough to hit driveway's(giong up the bump portion).

You would be increasing your overall diameter by .9", so there is high probability you will rub!
